Welcome!

It's time to introduce yourselves! Use the form below to get out there and start plotting. New and old players alike are encouraged to post to the Intro & CR.

A mingle log will be posted on June 8.
While we won't be doing intro/mingle logs every application round, we'll have one for the first two rounds (June and August) to help everyone get settled! You can also check out the Bulletin for information on weather, broadcasts, and incidents.

Notes

• Characters can arrive in-game on any date throughout the month of the TDM. This means characters do not have to, and typically will not, arrive all at once. Arrivals will be scattered and more difficult to predict. Use this to stagger CR, give characters a couple weeks without seeing each other, or whatever you feel makes it interesting!
• Since base AC is low, players need to make AC for their first month. TDM threads continued into the month are perfectly acceptable as long as the comments submitted take place in the current month.

Updates

• We've made some updates to the Invites page to reflect the game's current player cap status and added a player cap count to the Taken page. Our player cap is formally 70 players. The FAQ has also been updated to reflect these changes.
• A reminder that the 2 characters per round allocation was for the first round only. Moving forward, all players, current and new, can only apply for one character per app round. (You may still have a total of 2 characters.)

About: castiel has disappointed those in his life he loves most. castiel is an angel — one of heaven's soldiers. he helped avert the apocalypse before nearly destroying heaven in an attempt to restore his home to his former glory. since then, he's been trying to make amends, to.... mixed results. at this point, he's nearly given up on himself.

castiel is coming from the canon point in which he's let lucifer take over his body because he's decided his own contributions were ineffectual and no longer required. his impotence extends beyond just this — even when dean tried to get him to come back, castiel seemed to have lost all motivation to help himself. now that he's been unceremoniously thrust back in control again, he's... existing, despite his best efforts. currently, he's in the process of building an unintentional slug farm with connor detroit and has spent a little time eating cat food in the cat food aisle (gotta make sure there are no harmful additives!!!) (you can find more general info about cas here, on his info page.)

Wanted CR: anything, honestly. positive, negative, utterly ridiculous. cas is a weird guy. a strange little man. there's not really anything off the table for me.

Plots/Plans: if anyone would like to help donate to the slug rescue service and slug farm (with more slugs) cas and i'm sure connor would both be very happy. otherwise, castiel has absolutely no motivation to do anything at the moment, though i'd like to shake him up as much as possible, whether through game events or cr that might challenge his passivity.

also, i'm considering TDM threads canon, unless you'd rather not! just give me a heads up.

also also, i would like cas to adopt one of the rat-sized termites. if this is possible. i'm sorry

About: Benny Lafitte is a cute and cuddly Cajun vampire (with majoy murder and trust issues) from Carencro, Louisiana. Once a former (vam)pirate, he's now just trying REALLY HARD to be morally chill. Shit's hard, bro. Back home he went rogue for a pretty lady and got killed for it, then landed in Purgatory. He meets Dean Winchester and they proceed to trauma-bond over monster murder. He’s charming, calm, and deeply done with everyone’s bullshit. Basically a vampire with a conscience. Mostly. Ish.

Wanted CR/Plots/Plans: Benny's mostly been scoping out everything that the place has to offer, trying to make sure he stays fed so he doesn't go bananas. He actually kinda digs his car (obvs not this shiny), and does a lot of on the road driving to clear his head and stay calm.

I have no plan or plots - I want it all because I'm greedy as hell. Found family, maybe a fun fling, friends, whatever you got I want it. Only thing I'm not crazy about is negative CR just for the sake of it, but I'm all for some tensions ;)

About: Jonathan Strange is a fancy English wizard man (though he only uses the term magician, tyvm). He's a Regency England man who served in the English army during the peninsular campaign, did magic for the king, and helped bring back English magic. He's brash, arrogant, foolhardy, a bit of an ass, and SUPER fucking cursed (have fun noticing that, magic types!) He also served in the peninsula. Did he mention the peninsula?

Wanted CR:
- team magic!!! Strange is a nosy bitch who wants to learn anything and everything about magic. It's fun, it's neat, it's cool, tell him how you do your things! Fair warning, he might mansplain magic in return
- anybody who is willing to put up with Regency England over here not knowing what the fuck a car is.

Plots/Plans: canonically, Strange cycled through like twelve different jobs before settling on magician. He is 100% going to do that here. Tall, lanky, and loud has absolutely shown up (and been terrible at) your character's job and I am absolutely up for threading that. Aside from that, road trips!! Exploring incidents!! What the fuck is a car!!! Let this English bean pole who isn't subtle at all with his magic try and convince you to do something dumb.

Limits: nothing comes to mind! Strange is a pain in the ass so I'm expecting some negative cr~

She also can't control it, so she makes a point of of avoiding physical contact and always wears gloves (which should be super fun with the heatwave). She's a Southern girl from Mississippi who's sassy and avoidant.

She also spent the last undefined number of years locked up in a mutant experimentation laboratory. So her people skills might be a little rusty and she might be extra skittish.

Wanted CR: Look, I'm open to everything. Let's see what clicks, let's see what doesn't and then find something that does, etc. etc. The more people she has around her that she trusts, the better off she'll be, but I also don't mind tormenting her so 🤷‍♀️

Plots/Plans: She's taken out a loan on a bike that keeps breaking down. And she's super happy to be here because it's better than where she came from. I don't have anything set in stone plan wise though, so would love to change that and get CR rolling. Love deeper CR, love angsty CR, love difficult/dark themes.

Limits: Nothing at the moment. If something comes up, I'll communicate that.

About: A combination of grief, anger and a series of really poor life decisions, Erik is a powerful mutant who survived the Holocaust, went on a revenge trip that consumed twenty years of his life, got arrested for shooting JFK (even though he didn't do it), tried to kill his ex (whoops), and then dropped a fucking stadium on his other ex (double whoops). Also he definitely did try to kill the president that time. He's just entered his tentative coexistence era, and he's been living among humans for a few months now. He's out here trying to do better, though he's only interested in proving himself to one person. Maybe two. He doesn't give a fuck if everyone else hates him.

Wanted CR: I'm up for anything! Friends, allies, people interested in information gathering/sharing, other powered individuals, etcetc. I expect at least tense CR with most of the cast because... well, it's Magneto. He has no particular reason to engage in negative CR with anyone else at the moment, though I'm not rejecting that possibility if something naturally pushes them in that direction.

Plots/Plans: He's been working night shifts at a warehouse, and he's getting together a comprehensive survival kit little by little. He introduced himself as Henryk to a few people when he first arrived, but he's kind of over that now since so many mutants are around; I'm here for some mild confusion from anyone who knows him as Henryk. Right now the plan is just to get him settled, learn more about the place, help one grumpy telepath get settled in, but that's about it for now.

Limits: I'm sure there is something but my brain is a smooth, flat surface right now and I am so tired. I'll let you know if/when something comes up that I'm not interested in.

Age: Physically 35, but has several centuries worth of memories due to his time imprisoned with Lucifer. (He has some Trauma.)

About: Just a boy, looking at Destiny, trying to smash it to pieces instead of succumb to his “written path” of becoming evil. Unknowingly infected with demon blood at six months old on the same day his mother was murdered by a demon, Sam was raised with his brother to hunt monsters: werewolves, ghosts, demons, etc. He hated that life and tried to leave it, but then the same demon that killed his mom also killed his girlfriend, setting him on a path that led to him unknowingly starting the Apocalypse. He was supposed to be Lucifer’s vessel in order for the world to properly end, but long story short, he overpowered the Devil via brotherly love and pure stubbornness, and threw him, the devil and the archangel Michael into a cage under the earth, averting the apocalypse. Since then, a lot has happened - he’s lost his soul, lost everyone he loved, averted several more world-endings - but the core of him is the same: he’s a thoughtful, stubborn, smart and loyal person who ultimately just wants to make the world a better place. (Whether he does or not depends on the day/how much God literally hates him.)

Wanted CR:
- Please give him some friends… Sam is the living embodiment of that old “all my friends are dead” meme, and the show frequently forgot to give him meaningful relationships to outside of Dean. He’ll need friends now more than ever.
- Fellow nerds!!! Sam would love anyone who’s willing to nerd out with him, especially when it comes to supernatural history/lore.
- Big fan of Sam taking on an older sibling/parental role to younger people who need support. Equally, if any parental figures wanna step into the role for Sam, I would also loooove that.
- Mods said I could give Sam his powers from s2/3 back, so I would LOVE Sam interacting with other psychics/helping him few more confident with his powers (telekinesis and visions, not the demon exorcisms he used to do when he was drinking demon blood - he has no intention of doing that again.)

Plots/Plans:
As stated above, I’m slowly giving Sam his psychic powers back, including (mod-approved) visions of the future. He will most likely be freaking out about this, considering his powers led to the Apocalypse in his world. He also might be dealing with hallucinations thanks to his trauma of being tortured for centuries by Lucifer, so that combo will be great, I’m sure.

He’s working as a “Swappie” in town at a garage otherwise, using his free time to find a way to get back to his world and to Dean.

Limits: Let’s please talk first before any blatantly antagonistic CR! Definitely not against it, just want to plot it out first!

Eddie is an anxiety-ridden metalhead from a small town in 1980s Indiana who had A Really Bad Spring Break. Long and short of it is that he ended up being wanted for a murder he didn’t commit, run away so hard that he was eventually dragged along on an adventure into an alternate dimension (which he only just learned about; that’s what h gets for not being in the first three seasons). But he’s not dead yet this time! He has some hope!

He’s repeated his senior year twice and doesn’t like conformity. He like D&D, Audrey Hepburn, Fangoria, Harry Houdini and croquet, he can't swim, he can't dance, and he doesn’t know karate Metallica, and he plays the guitar. He’s incredibly dramatic, theatrical, intense and nervous, but ultimately a kind-hearted dude with a soft sport for people who “don’t belong”, for lack of a better word.

Wanted CR: All of it! But fellow musicians and fellow outsider/black sheep are very welcome.

Plots/Plans: I’m mostly a vibes-based player, unfortunately so this is always hard for me. At some point he’s going to airbrush a wizard on his van. It’s half the reason I joined the game. He’s trying to start a collection of cassette tapes so if you have any, he’s coming for you. D&D campaigns are in the future whether u like it or not. Former street kid, former child vigilante, current ???? antihero. Famously beaten with a crowbar and blown up by the Joker as Robin (of "Batman and"), came back to life real mad about it and decided to lean how to kill people real good so he can do some vengeance. Tells himself he doesn't give a fuck about the world despite giving like, all the fucks. He cannot stop giving a fuck, that is his big problem.

General Robin-vibes even if he's grown into a giant Biker-looking guy w/a weird red helmet - tragic orphan, quippy, righteous, stupidly competent but prone to dramatics. (He was raised by Batman, okay.) Not handling the perceived being-forgotten-and-abandoned after his death-and-resurrection particularly well and attempting to refit his worldview to deal with it. Generally seems like he's got a giant chip on his shoulder about everything because he kind of does, right now.

I am aware that he is also....often kind of shitty and sardonic and annoying, I'm so sorry. Its mostly his way of being standoffish and deflecting the conversation but like. Understandable if you don't love to deal with that, he's not very easy to get along with sometimes, so negative cr isn't off the table at all if it goes that way. HOWEVER I'm more than willing to back off if you're not into it.

Wanted CR:

- vigilante types, hell yea. or just like...competent people in general. get-shit-done cr.
- also detective types, people who are interested in figuring out what the fuck is going on around here. - stubborn folks, people who aren't willing to be chased off by his general tough-guy nonsense. I love people who will call him on his self-sabotaging bullshit

Don't look at me my brain has been static for a week. I think I'm mostly just gonna feel it out. Some spitballing -
- He's been making a point of learning his way around Panorama and getting the pulse of the way things work in the city, and he has for sure been starting to nose in on the Runners and the general drug trade. Pretty regularly disappearing out into the diffusion zones to scope them out and see what he can scrounge up. He wants a new gun thanks most of his arsenal didn't end up here with him.
- He'll be absolutely interested in the Bowling Ball Homicide bc its A: a murder and B: he's interested in keeping tabs on the Runners. IDK MAN I am marinating on it.
- He will also be very slowly feeling out establishing a more obvious vigilante and/or criminal presence bc he can't resist getting involved for long even when he tries, but that's probably a more long game thing

- Also!!! Very down to keep tdm threads going or talk them out to handwave to a finish and do smth new. would love to keep them canon, though, unless you have other prefs/ideas! I had a lot of fun.

About: Alucard is a dhampir, the son of Dracula (the vampire half) and Lisa (the human half.) In the 1470s, Lisa was executed as a witch and Dracula tried to wreck all of Wallachia in response. Alucard stood up to his father, committed patricide to protect the country, and then life happened. Three hundred years on, Alucard is still broadly a defender of humanity, but he has taken time off from his association with the Belmont family. During the events of Castlevania: Nocturne, he helps to defeat vampires using the counter-French revolution in order to cause perpetual night and devour humanity. He's slowly dipping a toe back into having more frequent human connections!

Wanted CR:
- Fellow non-humans, as he enjoys exploring what it means to be not quite human in a human world
- Petty bitchiness, which is his favorite thing in the world
- Those who can catch him up a bit with technology (also someone teach this late 1700s motherfucker to drive)

Plots/Plans:
- Al has mostly been trying to make sense of his surroundings at the moment, catching up with technology and so on.
- He is DEEPLY skeptical of the debt system, and he'd like to air his concerns with others about this
- Overall, Al is mostly interested in exploring at the moment. He's aloof but convivial enough.

About: An Zhe is. A little mushroom. Literally a mushroom. He acquired a human body (it was a gift) and went on a whole bunch of adventures on his own post-apocalyptic Earth where not being entirely human was grounds for being shot first, no questions ever. Even though everything worked out for the best, he's still a little wary about that now that he is in an entirely different place because ??? ??? ????aaaaa???

He has the memories of his body's previous owner but he's kinda socially awkward and most things are New for him. He's a little guy and can become an even littler guy. He's extremely harmless and very very sad that his most important person is missing.

Wanted CR:
+ He is not particularly smart but he usually ends up hanging out around science-y people, so that trend could continue. (he does have a good memory though if you want him to take notes.)

About: Connor is an investigative android sent by CyberLife (previously known as Lime 🍋‍🟩). He comes from a sad route (he lost his favorite person; his skrunkly old man blorbo) because I enjoy suffering. I think that opens up Connor for some neat CR, because his blorbo was helping him find his humanity. So I imagine at this point he’s quite moldable, if that makes sense! Connor tries to be good but he will absolutely do some violence. He is a protective sort of fellow.

Wanted CR:

• It might take some effort for some genuinely negative CR on Connor’s part, but (if you’re familiar with the canon — I also play Gavin elsewhere so, like) I am completely open to exploring negative relationships. Love it. One-sided negative CR / hatred would also be amazing, I imagine (with Connor either liking or feeling neutral about the other).

• On the above note, but I imagine Connor might gravitate toward people who remind him of his RIP blorbo (assholes, people who are stubborn / ornery, old men, etc).

The murder game I was in is just ending so I got super slow on the TDM, but I am totally up for continuing TDM threads if anyone might want! And / or starting new ones because I absolutely meant to tag more people.

• I’d definitely like to get Connor out exploring resources. As an android he needs a particular kind of blood and parts, etc. I might kind of blend this goal in with other adventures, though; I think it’d be fun as a longer sort of challenge.

• I don’t have specific ideas for the bulletin stuff, but the potential for shenanigans is immense (Connor going to donate blood and they’re like….you’re an android????). Also just coming out of a murder game, the homicide appeals to me personally. And with the AC I imagine it would effect Connor differently, which could be fun to explore.

• I’ll hit up the mingle when that goes up, as well! So we can also figure out something then.

These abilities are opt-in, meaning I won't run off having him know anything he shouldn't otherwise unless you're okay with it & want to play around with that! I'm also going to include information for anyone who might want to give him a statement, but more on that later...

About: John was originally a... relatively normal guy (give or take this one time he nearly got eaten by a giant spider as a kid) who, upon accepting an unexpected promotion from rank-and-file researcher to the Magnus Institute's Head Archivist, unknowingly became a player in a game where agents of vast, eldritch entities of primal Fear vie for power and influence over the world. After being killed in the effort to stave off one apocalypse, he decided to live on as an avatar of the Eye, hoping that his efforts to foil the plots of other Powers' rituals would offset his being yet another monster in the world...

Unfortunately for him, it was his continuing to act as the Archivist that ended up with him serving as the linchpin to the Eye's own ritual: one that brought all of the Fears into the world, ushering in an apocalypse of his own making. Needless to say, he feels terrible about it! After a walking tour through Hell, he and former-employee/current-boyfriend Martin managed to find a way to return the world to its original state... though it also released the Fears into countless other universes. And now they're here! I'm sure it'll be fine. (:

Wanted CR: Everything is bright and shiny and new, so I'm pretty open to anything! I did want to go ahead and say, though, that CR which leans negative tends to be... not uncommon with John. He doesn't always necessarily mean to, but he can come off as abrasive, impatient, and, um... not quite as mindful of others' boundaries of what he should and shouldn't know (comes with the territory!). I personally love messy CR, so we can either play with that or try our best to avoid it, depending on what you're interested in!

That having been said, I'm interested in finding other folks interested in digging deep in investigating this world and trying to understand it! It's just in John's nature to Know and Understand everything, so he's going to be very active in sticking his nose where it doesn't belong in order to look into that. John himself is a non-combatant, so teaming up with any martial types would be a bonus, if things end up dangerous! Hopefully John can pull his weight by being pretty well-versed in these inexplicable, spooky scenarios? He's basically the encyclopedia on those! (Literally, though.)

Any other weird guys, any supernatural or eldritch folks... He tends to have a supernatural sense for folks that range outside of the "normal," and the winning combination of paranoia and curiosity will make him interested in knowing more about them!

In addition, I'm always interested in anyone who might be interested in giving statements. A guy's gotta eat, after all! I will detail this more in an information post on his opt-in, but John has a preternatural sense which allows him to identify people with unique accounts of fear. He'd love to hear more about your biggest traumas!!! I know that's as big "ask," however, so I'm happy for it to come up later in CR. This section will pretty much always be in my "seeking" section, haha.

Plots/Plans: Besides slowly coming down from the god-like power trip he was on in the hellscape he created and attempting to address this debt he suddenly finds himself saddled with... Not too much in particular! Just getting him situated in the setting and starting to build some CR. This will probably change & evolve as things go on, though.

For Amos, people generally fall into three categories: bad people, ones you follow, ones you protect. It kind of guides him, who he is, how he interacts with others. To quote Holden (one of his closest canonmates) — "He's like a pitbull. You know he could tear your throat out, but he's loyal to a fault...and you just wanna hug him."

He had a brutal childhood, left Earth, become a space mechanic, and has mostly completely dissociated from feelings and emotions. He knows what they are, they are just not easily accessible to him the way they would be for most people, as a result of his formative years. He knows what goodness looks like and he knows it's not his first instinct, and it bothers him that it doesn't bother him when he does "bad things" so he does try to mimic the actions of "his people." When he's identified and determined someone to be good and righteous, he will consider what they would do in situations, and use that to guide his actions. Despite all of this, he is extremely self-aware and very often thinking, What would ____ do in this situation. He can be stoic, but freely employs deadpan humor when you least expect it, and he is fiercely protective of anyone he deems to be one of his people.

Wanted CR:

— The vehicles and a lot of the machinery of this world will be new to him, but he's a mechanic at heart and would honestly appreciate tinkering with things alongside someone. He's very ego-less and just interested in learning and/or teaching, depending!

— He is not naturally inclined to seek out friends & found family, but conversely at the same time he is good at being both of these things even though he is not consciously aware of being decent at it or even needing it. If that makes any kind of sense...

About: Raven is a shapeshifter whose early life is mostly a mystery, beyond the fact that she was on her own and living on the streets, stealing whatever she could to get by. Lucky for her, she met Charles Xavier around the age of ten and he invited her to live with him as his adoptive sister, and for a good while, she almost felt like she had somewhere to belong. She was a member of the founding class at Xavier Academy, though left shortly after to join Erik Lensherr in founding the Brotherhood of Mutants once she became convinced that humans would never accept mutants living among them as equals. She has spent the last decade fighting to protect her mutant brothers and sisters, and most recently has been on a one-woman crusade to locate and free mutants who have been taken captive and experimented on in government facilities. Most recent claim to fame is trying to assassinate weapons tycoon Bolivar Trask on live television during the Paris Peace Accords— long story short, it did not go well, and she's going to be reeling from that for a bit while she tries to get on her feet here.

Wanted CR: Everything is welcome, but a big challenge she is going to face here is having to learn to rely on other people and open herself up a bit, which is going to be tough thanks to a boatload of trust issues. Naturally, this means I want her out there making friends that she's resistant to admit are friends— she'll classify them as 'allies' instead for awhile, but she's a lot softer than she wants to believe herself to be. BIG desire is for her to meet other people with inhuman abilities from various world of origins, because being in a place that isn't inherently humans vs. mutants is going to be huge for her.

Plots/Plans: So far, Raven has been trying to figure out how to gain whatever edge she can here regarding survival, picking up odd jobs and scavenging where possible. She definitely went after the medicine in the Fringes with the intent of selling what she found, though was rudely interrupted (read: saved) by Charles. She's focused on looking out for herself, as she's been estranged from her brother for ten years until now + the person she thought she could trust the most recently shot her, so really, nowhere to go but up! I'm looking forward to throwing her at just about everything and seeing what sticks, and how the setting is going to force some pretty rapid character development.

Limits: No limits at the moment, I'm pretty easy and open to anything!

About: He is a pirate-hunter-turned-pirate who uses three swords and drinks too much. Zoro is the first mate of the Straw Hat Pirates, with dreams of becoming the world's greatest swordsman. Not the greatest at making friends, he is fiercely loyal to the few he has. He trends on the quieter side, and when he does speak, it's blunt, sarcastic, and straight to the point. Not the most charming, but he is very good at cutting things - and there is a softer heart hidden under the grouchiness.

That said, he is much more amiable when offered alcohol.

Wanted CR: To be very unhelpful, anything and everything! Positive, negative - It would be nice if he could make some friends, despite the prickly exterior. He enjoys sparring and testing his skill against other warriors, and one can never have too many drinking buddies.

Plots/Plans: At the moment, he is still trying to get his bearings, figure out the status of his crew, and will likely be on the lookout for replacements for his two missing swords. He cannot navigate to save his life, so the chances of him getting turned around and into trouble are very high - This man should never have been allowed behind the wheel of a vehicle.

About: sanji is a cook, self-proclaimed as the very best in the east blue. originally working at a restaurant in the middle of the sea, he was recruited by luffy, captain of the straw hat pirates to sail out to explore dangerous oceans in search of the one piece, where sanji dreams of finding a mythical sea where every fish in existence lives called the all blue. despite his occasional rude attitude, namely when in a foul mood and around men that set him off, sanji would deem himself to be a romantic and, no doubt, a charmer, flirting easily around women and using sweet talk as a means to ease people towards his favor. he's also got plenty of skill in his legs, known for the strength of his kicks which could send ferocious fishmen flying through the air (particularly when he's fueled with the motivation to protect ladies from being badmouthed).

Wanted CR: there's the very easy answer in being very open to nearly everything, but for some more specific kind of ideas:

the hungry — sanji is a cook and he happens to be one very skilled at making something delicious out of nearly anything edible. considering there's plenty of characters that may either not have any skills with cooking or may just be struggling to afford good kinds of it, sanji will be your boy with making sure everyone is fed, no matter who they are. the cr doesn't even have to be close or positive, because sanji refuses to let anyone starve and thinks everyone should have a delicious meal in front of them.
the chefs — alternatively, for those who are good cooks, he'd love to team up to exchange tips and ideas, maybe even rally together ideas for something like a soup kitchen or a restaurant in the future. he's also open to giving lessons to anyone who wants to learn more about cooking, whether from scratch or just to improve their skills.
the outcasts — not only was sanji raised amongst a bunch of misfit pirates (in a floating restaurant in the middle of the sea), but he's also joined a crew of them, all from different backgrounds with different personalities, who fit in best together than on their own. so sanji is definitely good with making friends with people who don't tend to fit anywhere, who may edge out on the weirder side but has good intentions. good hearted weirdos are always welcome to him (and probably his fellow crew).
the ladies — (unfortunately) sanji tends to be an overexaggerated flirt. when he sees an attractive woman, his first instinct is to put on the charm and bring out the sweet talk, but don't be entirely alarmed, because even if he's annoying about his worship of women, he doesn't beg or demand dates. turn him down and he'll take it with no hard feelings without ever turning off his kindess in their direction. ultimately though, every woman is right (even when they're not) and every woman should be forgiven for her crimes and lies (unless they hurt his friends or the weak, and then it becomes a gray area). also, he absolutely won't put the moves on anyone underage.
the everyone else — surprise me/him! some of the best cr is the kind you don't plan for. i'd love for him to just build friendships everywhere, to find people he'd happily ride or die for, to get into bizarre shenanigans with, etc. aside from extremely hostile cr, most anything is on the table.

Plots/Plans: right now i've mostly been leaning on having sanji get to generally meeting folks around various places. he's kind of trying to figure out how to get "stablized" enough to at least hold down a job, just enough to have the means to support himself and his crew (and friends) in the sustenance department. i generally do want to get him to lean towards helping people out amongst the community, like long term plans towards setting up some kind of soup kitchen or restaurant. but for the most part, cr building is my top priority.

Limits: for now, i'd just like to avoid extremely hostile negative cr, unless very thoroughly discussed ahead of time!

He talks like a dudebro but is 1000x more affable and sincere, the type of guy who likes to befriend everybody and is incredibly enthusiastic about anything from high-concept academic and medical subjects to weird and miscellaneous bullshit. Despite being from a world of psychics and magic and part of the former circle, his exposure to those things is actually light on account of being privileged enough to live a normal life with loved ones and being protected by his best friend.

Wanted CR: I'm gonna keep this brief because I don't want to ramble too much

➡️ Is your character a sad sack of shit? No fear, River is here, he has a tendency to befriend those types. In fact, he likes making all the friends and now that he doesn't have to be secret about being an esper, he'll be so glad to blab even more freely (oh joy)
➡️ CR with other psychic/esper types would be pretty awesome, he'd be happy in mostly familiar company.
➡️ He'll take on all the injuries, chronic pains, and some illnesses! He's a healer and a doctor who does his best to adhere to the Hippocratic oath so in due time he'll make his services official. For now it's mostly all informal, but he's more than happy to help either way.
➡️ Circling back to point one, because River is relatively speaking, emotionally and mentally healthy, he's someone that can listen to other people's troubles or tragic backstories with several eye blinks, but little to no judgement. IDK, there's so many fun personalities around him, he'll start to wonder if anyone is okay.

Eight is a quiet, low key, deeply shy but very extroverted person who's even demeanor belies his almost single-minded sense of determination. Seriously, once the boy gets a task/mission in his head he will not rest until he's completed it. The only caveat there is that he often needs some kind of leader to really set him on A Path, he's not super good at taking initiative by himself.

Eight also likes poetry and sports and especially fashion and especially especially shoes. If his tiny apartment back home had the closet space he'd have just so many sneakers.

Agent 8 is an uplifted octopus who was born into a society at war with squids (it's unclear if the squids even noticed). He started training for the army at 6 years old and probably would have been a loyal soldier if a lone agent hadn't whooped the head of the Octarian army with a magical song and a glorified squirt gun. Witnessing this made Agent 8 have a change of heart and he left to see if he could find his place under the sun rather than in a dingy underground hovel.

Then an evil AI caught him, stripped him of his memories, and forced him through a subway system full of grueling challenges and his reward was to be blended into a slurry! Turns out he was the ten thousand and eighth Octoling this happened to! Whoops! After escaping from the skin of his teeth (and sans memory) he spent his time living a very normal life with sports and snacks and collecting sneakers. After five years of that, his super smart friend calls him and tells him that she's figured out a way to restore his memory and also hopefully the memories of however many Octolings are left alive in the subway. Then he ended up here before he could complete the mission that would have saved everyone. He's...not thrilled.

Wanted CR:

-FRIENDS. Eight's entire life has been about Getting By With A Little Help From His Friends. The one time he tried to do things alone he ended up getting attacked by the world's strongest squid AND an evil AI at the same time. He needs people and he's not ashamed of it either.

-Mentors. Eight's a soldier, and a strong one, but he is not a leader. He's much more comfortable following someone else's lead, and he knows it. There's a lot of strong personalities around here.

-~Fashion~ The society he escaped to is ALL ABOUT clothes and looking good and Staying Fresh and Eight has jumped in with both feet. Someone here has to care about the latest trends as much as he does right?

-Misc ideas: Well, he's from Earth 12000 years in the future after mankind drove themselves to extinction, someone's gotta feel some kind of way about that. He's also big into sports, but uh, he only knows sports where you shoot your body fluids at the other team so someone should teach him about basketball at least. I am also down with any negative CR you throw at me, though Eight doesn't enjoy making enemies.

Plots/Plans: OK SO Eight got it in his head that there may be a way to send a message to his super smart friend and she can help him get home. He is going to do everything in his power to make that happen (shhhhh don't tell him it's not possible) and of course if he finds anything he'll share with the class.

Beyond that I'm pretty flexible! Let's just try shit and see what works!
