Welcome!

It's time to introduce yourselves! Use the form below to get out there and start plotting. New and old players alike are encouraged to post to the Intro & CR.

A mingle log will be posted on June 8.
While we won't be doing intro/mingle logs every application round, we'll have one for the first two rounds (June and August) to help everyone get settled! You can also check out the Bulletin for information on weather, broadcasts, and incidents.

Notes

• Characters can arrive in-game on any date throughout the month of the TDM. This means characters do not have to, and typically will not, arrive all at once. Arrivals will be scattered and more difficult to predict. Use this to stagger CR, give characters a couple weeks without seeing each other, or whatever you feel makes it interesting!
• Since base AC is low, players need to make AC for their first month. TDM threads continued into the month are perfectly acceptable as long as the comments submitted take place in the current month.

Updates

• We've made some updates to the Invites page to reflect the game's current player cap status and added a player cap count to the Taken page. Our player cap is formally 70 players. The FAQ has also been updated to reflect these changes.
• A reminder that the 2 characters per round allocation was for the first round only. Moving forward, all players, current and new, can only apply for one character per app round. (You may still have a total of 2 characters.)

martin is a sweetie but to be fair he did tell adrian that the two of them were similar and adrian was like "ok so this guy is ALSO a pain in the butt for his loved ones understood" :')

SHAKES YOUR HAND. I'd love to hear about your tabletop ocs too!! funnily enough one of our current players was ALSO previously in a CoS game that didn't end up getting finished and just migrated the character over. the real curse of strahd is trying to make it to the end of the module.

RIGHT honestly the whole concept of CHA casters is so funny to me... sometimes you can do magic because you study and sometimes you can do magic because you're hot and/or believe in yourself?? anyway martin and john should be commended because their party composition is in shambles but they made it through the end of the world anyway :')

THAT DOES SEEM TO BE THE CASE... i'd like to try finishing it out one day, since it seemed really interesting, but it's probably not in the cards for me. my DM has been doing a lot of homebrewed stuff (my current character has a homebrewed race and class lol), and he keeps talking about trying new systems for our next campaign. which i always kinda whine about, bc i like dnd 5e, despite its limitations

it's VERY funny and it does make sense for some warlocks. but for other's it's just kinda... 😬 but LOL you are so right. i wish i could say they had some really clutch rolls, but they really didn't??

but, yes, absolutely! i will go ahead and add you back 👍 and YES for the event! i decided to be a liiittle conservative on my mingle tag-ins bc i don't want to get too bogged down before the event, haha

Between the two of them I feel like it's just going to be twice the headaches for their partners/friends... RIP

And yeah that seems like it's the case for a lot of people re: never finishing CoS, alas. I feel like every time I tell our DM that I especially enjoyed some part of the module she's like "oh it's fan content/homebrew" LMAO And 5e is fun!! I was reluctant to try new systems too but I enjoyed Blades in the Dark and some other indie stuff way more than I expected so hopefully you'll have some good experiences there too if you end up doing that!
