Welcome!

It's time to introduce yourselves! Use the form below to get out there and start plotting. New and old players alike are encouraged to post to the Intro & CR.

A mingle log will be posted on June 8.
While we won't be doing intro/mingle logs every application round, we'll have one for the first two rounds (June and August) to help everyone get settled! You can also check out the Bulletin for information on weather, broadcasts, and incidents.

Notes

• Characters can arrive in-game on any date throughout the month of the TDM. This means characters do not have to, and typically will not, arrive all at once. Arrivals will be scattered and more difficult to predict. Use this to stagger CR, give characters a couple weeks without seeing each other, or whatever you feel makes it interesting!
• Since base AC is low, players need to make AC for their first month. TDM threads continued into the month are perfectly acceptable as long as the comments submitted take place in the current month.

Updates

• We've made some updates to the Invites page to reflect the game's current player cap status and added a player cap count to the Taken page. Our player cap is formally 70 players. The FAQ has also been updated to reflect these changes.
• A reminder that the 2 characters per round allocation was for the first round only. Moving forward, all players, current and new, can only apply for one character per app round. (You may still have a total of 2 characters.)

About:

rowena's a scottish witch who's had a hard life, and only some of it was her own doing. whilst she's very slow to trust and is often quite solitary (especially in magic), there are a few people in-game that she'll be fiercely protective of and might poke into their business. altruism isn't rowena's strongest trait, but protecting those she cares about will push her to become more involved in the world than sitting back and looking out for herself. rowena's also going to assume that she's been resurrected into this world (given that she was dead and the queen of hell), which is not at all weird for her, nor is being in another universe. #justsupernaturalthings

Wanted CR:

★ people to talk about magic with (samuel, you have no choice in this) or other powers. introduce her to how it works in your world, let her compare notes (such a nerd)
★ people she can convince to give her lifts places because driving??? who is she???
★ people that have visited other universes or been through portals to compare some experiences
★ honestly, flirting, casual sex. she's missed it with being dead
★ drinking in bars?
★ slowburn ally building. its the trust we make on our adventures
★ throw something at me, i'm open to figuring out wildcards!!

Plots/Plans:

i honestly didn't do too much on the tdm outside of hotel shenanigans. so i'm going to say that rowena probably hasn't been into a diffusion zone yet so:

★ getting her into diffusion zones. she needs nudging to check the forum for information or to hear about it for other sources
★ she's going to try and scavenge and look for useful things, so helpers (or people trying to get the same stuff)
★ i don't have plans but i want to plot! happy to meet in bars, the shops, diffusion zones, honestly random conversations on the street

Limits: negative cr that has no development to it. otherwise, i'll let you know if something doesn't hit right in a tag

Back home some of Sally's only reliable allies were witches-- actually The Three Who are One, because who doesn't love a good Shakespeare reference huh?

Might I interest you in some slowburn ally building perchance? Sally WAS also (very low key) blessed by a Goddess so maybe Rowena can sense that magic somehow???

Yay!!! I only know Rowena a little through peripherally observing Supernatural many years ago, so we shall both discover things via rp!

Sally's not even sure it's real 'magic' that she was blessed with (she had to chuck some bricks in a chest and say a prayer) so she will be quite surprised that there's anything to sense at all. It just makes her stronger, but by the end her chapter you can have her carrying roughly 200 pounds and she does not even weigh 200 pounds, so I'm always like 'gurl you sure that's not magic???'

rowena will both be impressed and so curious about that. girl, tell her everything about that ritual because the one thing she'll be convinced of is that it was a ritual. even if it was weird. there was an incantation and everything

Oh it was DEFINATELY a real incantation/ritual. There were glowing sigils on the ground, plus Sally killed like 4 dudes on top of them (depending on if you make her kill them or just knock them out) before saying the spell bit. Obviously I had her kill them because annoying men LOL It will be fun for them to discus I think!!!

Sally's whole thing is 'you can't prove it's not psychosomatic' but she also actually did the steps/read the words, because she doesn't fuck with The Three Who are One LOL
