Welcome!

It's time to introduce yourselves! Use the form below to get out there and start plotting. New and old players alike are encouraged to post to the Intro & CR.

A mingle log will be posted on June 8.
While we won't be doing intro/mingle logs every application round, we'll have one for the first two rounds (June and August) to help everyone get settled! You can also check out the Bulletin for information on weather, broadcasts, and incidents.

Notes

• Characters can arrive in-game on any date throughout the month of the TDM. This means characters do not have to, and typically will not, arrive all at once. Arrivals will be scattered and more difficult to predict. Use this to stagger CR, give characters a couple weeks without seeing each other, or whatever you feel makes it interesting!
• Since base AC is low, players need to make AC for their first month. TDM threads continued into the month are perfectly acceptable as long as the comments submitted take place in the current month.

Updates

• We've made some updates to the Invites page to reflect the game's current player cap status and added a player cap count to the Taken page. Our player cap is formally 70 players. The FAQ has also been updated to reflect these changes.
• A reminder that the 2 characters per round allocation was for the first round only. Moving forward, all players, current and new, can only apply for one character per app round. (You may still have a total of 2 characters.)

About: SPOILERS FOR ARCANE S2 Jayce is a high INT low WIS former golden boy who watched his dream of bringing magic to the masses via magitech fall apart SPECTACULARLY. He honestly thought he was about to be atomized right before he got here, so, surprised to be alive! Has lots of GUILT about his actions in the past year, and is still probably suffering some PTSD from a stint in an alternate universe apocalypse realm.

He's brought an eldritch horror with him.

Wanted CR:
☑ Science nerds, people who want to repair and build stuff
☑ Magic folks? His lifelong obsession was with magic but that went south REAL BAD, so I would like for him to reconcile this in game in some way
☑ Found family/siblings, he is older brother coded despite technically being an only child (my kingdom for a Cait)
☑ People with guilt/regrets who might commiserate
☑ I'm winging it a little here to start, so give me what you got!
☑ Happy to make any TDM threads game canon!

Plots/Plans:
Jayce arrived early-ish in the TDM month and was doing some warehouse work for cash while familiarizing himself with the tech here. I would like to get him more involved with work in the Scrapyard soon, and possibly with fixing the the Rail when that becomes available. He is generally going to try to keep a low-ish profile after the events of his canon, trying to get his feet back under himself physically and mentally.

Also, Jayce's lower left leg suffered a pretty gnarly compound fracture that spent weeks/months healing in a magically corrupted apocalypse universe that transmutes everything organic/inorganic within it. The mods are allowing me to keep the corruption in that leg, so even when covered it might be possible for anyone with super senses or magic types to sense something off about it. I can go into more detail if that's of interest to you. Currently, he's using a brace to get around and adapting to the disability since it never had time to properly set/heal. In the future we might be trying to do more to remove the corruption, out of fear that it might spread through the rest of his body.

Limits: The usual, I'm down for all sorts of juicy arguments leading to complicated CR, negative CR is cool as long as it's not just bashing heads with no end goal!

but anyway, i want to do things!! with jayce. i know dee has mentioned jayce/viktor working on charles' wheelchair, and that could probably bring logan and jayce into the same vicinity...helping charles is an easy way to get on his good side. i can also foresee logan eventually needing some upgrades or fucking up his bike enough he'll need a proper mechanic to fix it.

CRAUGHS they both could do this - I think they could be chill friends though, as long as Sam isn't too alarmed by his 8ft tall eldritch horror of a partner (we promise he's not evil). I saw you have Sam working as a swappie, and Jayce has spent a lot of the month familiarizing himself with cars and stuff doing little repairs for some new arrivals for free for the moment while he sorts stuff out, so, maybe something there too!

I did not get a chance to bother jayce on the tdm but I want to bother this man. I am also looking very intensely at this transmutation business because GOSH that sounds familiar and gosh there was one mushroom that was the key to keeping things from fusing together in An Zhe's neck of the woods. VERY INTERESTING.

I didn't do a proper TL on the TDM so I missed a lot of folks BUT YES PLS, I saw his thread with Viktor and the potatoes... I love the little mushroom. Jayce would be interested to hear about these mushroom facts too.
