Welcome!

It's time to introduce yourselves! Use the form below to get out there and start plotting. New and old players alike are encouraged to post to the Intro & CR.

A mingle log will be posted on June 8.
While we won't be doing intro/mingle logs every application round, we'll have one for the first two rounds (June and August) to help everyone get settled! You can also check out the Bulletin for information on weather, broadcasts, and incidents.

Notes

• Characters can arrive in-game on any date throughout the month of the TDM. This means characters do not have to, and typically will not, arrive all at once. Arrivals will be scattered and more difficult to predict. Use this to stagger CR, give characters a couple weeks without seeing each other, or whatever you feel makes it interesting!
• Since base AC is low, players need to make AC for their first month. TDM threads continued into the month are perfectly acceptable as long as the comments submitted take place in the current month.

Updates

• We've made some updates to the Invites page to reflect the game's current player cap status and added a player cap count to the Taken page. Our player cap is formally 70 players. The FAQ has also been updated to reflect these changes.
• A reminder that the 2 characters per round allocation was for the first round only. Moving forward, all players, current and new, can only apply for one character per app round. (You may still have a total of 2 characters.)

Cable has an extremely similar looking robot arm which is not a prosthetic but the result of a virus. STILL I think that would probably make their CR even more interesting.

my name is noodle and I identify as a fucking problem my pronouns are try and me. they're actually she/they but you could say "hey you," and I'll reply bc gender is irrelevant. so, I suppose that makes me fluid.

I am stuck in the dirty south but saving all my rupees to get out of here. I'm an artist and a writer, and the universe experiencing itself as a pasty ginger. I do animal rehabilitation out of pocket bc I've got 16+ years of animal medicine experience, so that's a thing you might hear me talk about.

I'm also into like everything from beat poetry, literature, art, and video games, to anime, to live action there are very few things I haven't seen or don't wish to see and at least try to vibe with. I'm one of those try everything once type guys and live and die by the sword on it.

one time through the meatgrinder wasn't enough and he's here and more babygirl (he has killed so many people and will probably kill more) than ever.

Joel Miller is from The Last of Us ahead of the season two premiere but prior to the multiple father-daughter birthday moments in Jackson because I like to suffer and might be a masochist. You know what that means, he's delighted by this detour and has beef with the entire situation. Joel's a middle-aged man mess from Texas that's used to apocalyptic hellscapes but is not a huge fan of the cold or being social, he's got a trust no bitch, fear no bitch type of mentality.

Wanted CR: unwilling friends, frenemies, children to adopt, people to mentor, rivals, allies, uncomfortable situations, situationships, and the like

Plots/Plans:
I'm down to clown, literally, but my TDM stuff is this way and I'm open to keeping them game canon if that's a possibility or we can discuss potential handwaving and go from there.

I would very much like to throw them together! Especially after recent history not!dying? I don't imagine that would come up easily but G'raha would definitely sympathize with the complicated feelings that can come up with it.

Canon: X-Men Cinematic Universe, canon point is partway through Days of Future Past.
Age: 39, looks significantly younger thanks to mutant genes.

About: Raven is a shapeshifter whose early life is mostly a mystery, beyond the fact that she was on her own and living on the streets, stealing whatever she could to get by. Lucky for her, she met Charles Xavier around the age of ten and he invited her to live with him as his adoptive sister, and for a good while, she almost felt like she had somewhere to belong. She was a member of the founding class at Xavier Academy, though left shortly after to join Erik Lensherr in founding the Brotherhood of Mutants once she became convinced that humans would never accept mutants living among them as equals. She has spent the last decade fighting to protect her mutant brothers and sisters, and most recently has been on a one-woman crusade to locate and free mutants who have been taken captive and experimented on in government facilities. Most recent claim to fame is trying to assassinate weapons tycoon Bolivar Trask on live television during the Paris Peace Accords— long story short, it did not go well, and she's going to be reeling from that for a bit while she tries to get on her feet here.

Wanted CR: Everything is welcome, but a big challenge she is going to face here is having to learn to rely on other people and open herself up a bit, which is going to be tough thanks to a boatload of trust issues. Naturally, this means I want her out there making friends that she's resistant to admit are friends— she'll classify them as 'allies' instead for awhile, but she's a lot softer than she wants to believe herself to be. BIG desire is for her to meet other people with inhuman abilities from various world of origins, because being in a place that isn't inherently humans vs. mutants is going to be huge for her.

Plots/Plans: So far, Raven has been trying to figure out how to gain whatever edge she can here regarding survival, picking up odd jobs and scavenging where possible. She definitely went after the medicine in the Fringes with the intent of selling what she found, though was rudely interrupted (read: saved) by Charles. She's focused on looking out for herself, as she's been estranged from her brother for ten years until now + the person she thought she could trust the most recently shot her, so really, nowhere to go but up! I'm looking forward to throwing her at just about everything and seeing what sticks, and how the setting is going to force some pretty rapid character development.

Limits: No limits at the moment, I'm pretty easy and open to anything!
