Welcome to our first EMP! If you're unsure of who to app, are deciding between characters, or simply want to see who's bringing who, you can participate below. It is not a reserve. Reserves will open May 28.

The EMP is open to all. You don't need an invite to post to it. If you're curious about the game and are looking to see if you click, you can start here.

• If considering multiple characters, post each one individually under a top-level comment with your PLAYER NAME in the subject line.
• The TDM is scheduled for May 15. It will be open to all. No invite required to participate.
• Invite requests will open with the TDM on May 15. You're welcome to submit earlier but we will not be answering them until after the TDM opens.
• The TDM will have a section where you can express interest in receiving an invite if you don't know anyone in the game. Requests are public but replies to requests will be private.
• For the first round only, all invited players can app up to 2 characters provided they are not from the same franchise or canon. Playing from the same franchise/canon is allowed, but you can't apply for both in a single round. See the FAQ for more.

In the future, we'll also have a separate ATP form. Since the game is brand new, however, you'll find a small ATP section in the EMP form instead where you can ask for castmates alongside your EMP post!

Name: wanda maximoff
Canon: marvel cinematic universe
About: i want to bring wanda from post-avengers civil war, either while still being in the raft or after being released for a life as fugitive. this means that she isn't 'the scarlet witch' as we know it in the most current mcu timeline, hasn't had the thanos/the snap trauma, and has only lost her parents and brother so far. still, even if she is in her ~fledgling state within the mcu, she is a powerful telepath with a lot of potential, has started to become more comfortable in the use of her telekinetic powers, and has received training from both natasha (black widow) and steve (captain america).
Plans/Ideas: i think my plans at the moment are a little vague, though because of where she's coming from, wanda will definitely be in a position of discontent at authority, but wanting to find purpose and usefulness to those around her. she'll be prickly, but will find the opportunity to be with others as maybe more satisfying and fulfilling than her life in the avengers compound. it might be interesting to see her at this point in the timeline growing with different sources to model and learn from.

Any characters you want to see in the game? honestly, anyone from marvel, be it comics, mcu, the netflix shows, or anything marvel-adjacent. i'm a big sucker for family, so would love any of the family members (be it through comics variety) for the sake of shenanigans, like magneto, pietro, tommy, billy, but definitely someone like agatha, as well!

HI KRIS i was just reading over your amos tl!! i played against one years back and it was such a fun cr potential. i've only ever heard really good things about the expanse. i can see the potential for big brother/lil sister vibes here.

Canon: clair obscur: expedition 33
About: gustave is the earnest, inspiring leader of the expedition 33 crew that we play from. he's quiet, shy, gentle, empathic, and acts too much like the big brother/dad of the group. on top of that, he's a super nerd—anything that has to do with history? he knows it, and is willing to learn more to feed that sense of curiosity that he has. on top of it all, he is also a bit of a scientist himself, having been the person who created the lumina converter (little piece of tech that helps characters with growing strong after fights, or the in-universe explanation as to why the characters lvl up after battles). he also has a cool robotic arm that his apprentices made for him. he holds a lot of grief inside, but he does his best to appear strong; he definitely is the kind of guy whose personality shines when around his friends, people he loves, and those who can get him out of his shell.
Plans/Ideas: again! not super sure what my plans with him would be, but coming from the world he comes from, this new world would be super fascinating to him, and he would want to learn a lot from it, from others, and be of use in ~science-y ways, all the while hoping to uncover mysteries and the like.

Any characters you want to see in the game? i'm heavily considering him as a second character, not right off the bat from the start of the game, but i would really love for people to consider bringing his fambly... maelle, lune, sciel, etcetc
