Welcome to our first EMP! If you're unsure of who to app, are deciding between characters, or simply want to see who's bringing who, you can participate below. It is not a reserve. Reserves will open May 28.

The EMP is open to all. You don't need an invite to post to it. If you're curious about the game and are looking to see if you click, you can start here.

• If considering multiple characters, post each one individually under a top-level comment with your PLAYER NAME in the subject line.
• The TDM is scheduled for May 15. It will be open to all. No invite required to participate.
• Invite requests will open with the TDM on May 15. You're welcome to submit earlier but we will not be answering them until after the TDM opens.
• The TDM will have a section where you can express interest in receiving an invite if you don't know anyone in the game. Requests are public but replies to requests will be private.
• For the first round only, all invited players can app up to 2 characters provided they are not from the same franchise or canon. Playing from the same franchise/canon is allowed, but you can't apply for both in a single round. See the FAQ for more.

In the future, we'll also have a separate ATP form. Since the game is brand new, however, you'll find a small ATP section in the EMP form instead where you can ask for castmates alongside your EMP post!

Name: Wrench
Canon: Fargo TV
About: Wrench is a former hitman and only surviving member of the Fargo crime syndicate, which operated across the upper Midwest from the 1980s through the early 2000s. As children, Wrench and his former partner Numbers were introduced to its boss, a man who would come to be known as Moses Tripoli. It’s presumed that both boys grew up with some involvement in the syndicate, where they were trained to kill at the behest of its associates. While stalking Lorne Malvo - a man responsible for the death of one of the syndicate's members - Wrench was wounded by an officer, and his partner Numbers was murdered. Wrench managed to escape and has been on the run for the past decade, evading capture by the US Marshals.
Plans/Ideas: Wrench has been my main guy since I started in DWRP back in 2019. At this point he is like a well-worn pair of shoes I like to slip into and take wandering about, but I’m a little worried I’ve hit nearly every beat with him so far. That said, I adore the idea of this setting so damn much I’m tempted to pull him back out again. I’m chucking him into this EMP not because I have concrete plans, but because it would be so easy to sway me if anyone else had any interest in seeing him here.

Any characters you want to see in the game? Molly Solverson, Nikki Swango, Numbers… I’m very used to Wrench functioning as an LCW so I don’t even really have a “wish list” for him. He does well as a henchman for other people’s evil machinations though and has a tendency to find himself acting as the brawn to more powerful figures’ plans.

I cannot believe the grievous bodily harm Jeff Russo chose to inflict when he repurposed this for Wrench & Swango absent whatever drum he'd used to represent Numbers.

LOOK, HE IS NEAT AND I ADORE HIM!!! Wrench would make me incredibly nostalgic for Ye Olde Days (affectionate) and you know I would be ALL OVER HIM having a good time no matter what, if you brought him.

LOOK. I think Wrench and Foggy have so much potential with each other. So as much as I'm like, "Are there any beats I HAVEN'T already hit with this man?" I keep coming back around to the idea that there ARE because he hasn't hit THESE beats with THESE people yet.

Also Wrench driving is just like. A natural state. Give this man a car again.

LMAO gosh, I love him so much. And I love that I have somehow found a way to make other people love him too. We desperately need a legit Wrench and Daisy team-up one way or another!
