Welcome to our first EMP! If you're unsure of who to app, are deciding between characters, or simply want to see who's bringing who, you can participate below. It is not a reserve. Reserves will open May 28.

The EMP is open to all. You don't need an invite to post to it. If you're curious about the game and are looking to see if you click, you can start here.

• If considering multiple characters, post each one individually under a top-level comment with your PLAYER NAME in the subject line.
• The TDM is scheduled for May 15. It will be open to all. No invite required to participate.
• Invite requests will open with the TDM on May 15. You're welcome to submit earlier but we will not be answering them until after the TDM opens.
• The TDM will have a section where you can express interest in receiving an invite if you don't know anyone in the game. Requests are public but replies to requests will be private.
• For the first round only, all invited players can app up to 2 characters provided they are not from the same franchise or canon. Playing from the same franchise/canon is allowed, but you can't apply for both in a single round. See the FAQ for more.

In the future, we'll also have a separate ATP form. Since the game is brand new, however, you'll find a small ATP section in the EMP form instead where you can ask for castmates alongside your EMP post!

Former Robin (of “Batman and-“ fame), famously murdered by the Joker in the line of duty and then crawled his way out of his own grave a little while later. Came back very mad about it and decided to stage the world’s most extra vengeance plot to prove a point instead of going to therapy (Wonder who he learned that from, Bruce.)

Street kid turned punkass antihero, got the Robin gig after jacking the tires off the Batmobile. A fucking nerd who cares too much but he’s deeply traumatized and dealing with it by getting a bunch of assassin training and developing a whole new method of vigilante justice that involves a lot more moral grey. Pretty sure I’m pulling from pretty early on re:his big return for peak character at a crossroads development potential but I’m kinda chewing on it.

Plans/Ideas: Excited to toss him into a setting where he gets to put his dumb vigilante skills to use tbh! He’s a trained detective so he’ll be fucking nosy about digging for info about where they are and what’s going on and what to do about it. inevitably will getting up to his old tricks and harassing dirtbags in his spare time between picking up jobs to survive etc. I’m also pretty sure I’m pulling from right before he starts terrorizing Gotham’s drug trade just to prove a point so yknow. Can’t hurt to get some practice in???? (This is a very normal thing to do.)

playing it fast and loose re: cr bc he can be pretty mercurial! Who knows how things will go not even me. He truly needs a support system but will he accept one probably not

Any characters you want to see in the game? already love the potential game cast at a glance tbh. That said if anyone is considering ??? Batfolk of any sort and wanna talk continuity/canonpoint nonsense come at me.

he's my problematic son and I missed him. ngl I fell off the comic wagon for a while but then I caught up on like 4 years of assorted batman-and-etc in 6 months and now...I'm back here again, I cannot escape

But man I truly love seeing Charles in game!!! What a good character for rp!!! I'd absolutely love to see where cr could go. ngl I always feel bad inflicting jason's Everything on folks bc he can react very badly once you start hitting too close to home but man, the kind of folks who are willing to Make The Effort to see thought it are always so interesting and compelling over time.

I'm sorry for him in advance Charles. He doesn't even have any cool superpowers to make up for his attitude he's just Doomed By the Narrative. does that count? no?

It counts! Charles is in no way easy to scare off, he's pretty firm on his desire to help people and reach out. Especially to people struggling. He'll keep to boundaries out of respect but probably nudge nudge a little.

hah! no worries, its cool, we're even - all my marvel knowledge comes from vague memory of the movies and ???? x men evolution, back in the day. (underrated tbh)

But man Logan is a big fave!!!! extremely happy to see him in game, I'd love some cr. Unfortunate that I can only offer the world's shittiest vigilante teenager. He's not even cute like Laura he's just moody and shitty and murdery. don't hurt yourself keeping up, old man (not that it would matter that much if he did, I guess.) Tell him about your weird-ass time travel nonsense, friend, he's got theories to craft.

okay, but from wanda's canon point and her more recent removal from the streets of sokovia and general rioting/delinquent-ing about with her brother, i find quite a lot of potential for them to have interesting cr... i've always had fun crosscanon with batfolk, so i'm down if you are!

oh man, yes please!!! (I had you tabbed up, hah!) I wrote the world's least helpful cr comment but I love Wanda from what I've seen of her, and I think he'd really dig her. she's seen a lot of shit and come out the other side, he can absolutely respect that. I'm only pretty casually familiar with the MCU, but it seems from your post that like they can commiserate quite a bit on a few different levels. (losing her family, being on the streets or on the run, distrusting former authority figures, general vigilante shit, et...cetera... also y'know, the red theme. gotta stick together.) I'd love to have them team up and (hopefully!!!) slowly learn to chill out around each other. how hard could it be!!!

I only know Red Hood from that one movie where Jensen Ackles voiced him, but honestly we LOVE men who kill in red here. we're gunning so close to bonding towards wearing red masks that looks suspiciously similar if you squint in some art styles. obviously great minds think alike (the red hides all the blood of their enemies)

Getting a notification from magical girl batman really made my morning I’m not gonna lie. I'm only very (very) distantly familiar with mk and I was slowly making my way through everyone’s character info and wow color me extremely intrigued. What a guy. I think my OC Monts would find Jason interesting bc he's such a punk; she keeps her cards to herself but it probably wouldn't take long for that to unravel around a detective.

River ( healbuff ) is my silly esper doctor who can take care of any injuries and will probably just be a goofy guy who either gets on someone's nerves or is a total pal.

hello, ambi!! stumbling in here basically a week late to say that, though i don't know much at all about dc comics, i believe we played together ages ago... ive been using a different handle (vee) for a while, and im playing some different characters, but i think we played attack on titans together way back in the day (i thought it was just ten years ago but then i saw it's closer to 12-13 and my bones turned to dust)
