Welcome!

It's time to introduce yourselves! Use the form below to get out there and start plotting. New and old players alike are encouraged to post to the Intro & CR.

A mingle log will be posted on June 8.
While we won't be doing intro/mingle logs every application round, we'll have one for the first two rounds (June and August) to help everyone get settled! You can also check out the Bulletin for information on weather, broadcasts, and incidents.

Notes

• Characters can arrive in-game on any date throughout the month of the TDM. This means characters do not have to, and typically will not, arrive all at once. Arrivals will be scattered and more difficult to predict. Use this to stagger CR, give characters a couple weeks without seeing each other, or whatever you feel makes it interesting!
• Since base AC is low, players need to make AC for their first month. TDM threads continued into the month are perfectly acceptable as long as the comments submitted take place in the current month.

Updates

• We've made some updates to the Invites page to reflect the game's current player cap status and added a player cap count to the Taken page. Our player cap is formally 70 players. The FAQ has also been updated to reflect these changes.
• A reminder that the 2 characters per round allocation was for the first round only. Moving forward, all players, current and new, can only apply for one character per app round. (You may still have a total of 2 characters.)

LMAOOOO though tbh i did my grad program in florida (UCF, tho), so i loosened up on that particular rivalry just a little bit (': i watched the georgia-florida games yearly with a good friend of mine (who was a UF fan) and... for the most part had a good time....... i mean back then y'all were beating our ass regularly, so.......

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH oh my god you really do need someone to hold your hand. i am HERE for you!!! idk where your thoughts ended up on dark age, but i really hated it lmao and if one (1) very specific thing hadn't happened toward the end, i probably would have given up on the series. i ended up really liking light bringer, though, and i even think it redeemed some of my issues with dark age (at least a bit). VERY interested to see what you think of both 👁️

and omg you are actually further ahead than me there, because i haven't listened to any protocol yet. i was at first hesitant, just bc it would involve more writers (and i just really loved how tight the writing & pacing was, with jonny and his team working on the original series)...... but i have been doing a re-listen of tma and i think i will continue on to protocol once i finish

hmmmm, the way i tend to think of it, it's less of a distinct sense and more what he's able to observe. if there's not more obvious physical traits that he can notice, i do think he gets nagging senses that some folks just look/feel off, and it's enough to pique his curiosity. but any further details, they'd probably have to discuss themselves! he'd be plenty happy for nandor's candor (heh) (:

the clown will definitely get a side-eye and he'll concede that overall that sounds worse than new york so VERY GOOD QUESTION why indeed do people live there (i honestly think that based off mk's experiences and the name, he will definitely imagine batman to be more of a spider-man type than. how batman actually is.)

i actually had your tl tabbed up to reply to on the tdm, but then i was like oh man, i need to not add more to my thread load right now, but i'd absolutely be down for them interacting.

i've embarrassingly only watched part of s1 of breaking bad, so i'm not very familiar with jesse at all, but that's the joy of rp, man. marc will almost definitely find jesse annoying, but he's a lot more tolerant than he used to be and tbh the effort of trying to be better goes a very, very long way with him, so it could be interesting either way!

WHICH ACTUALLY TO ADD ON, marc's current approach to tolerating people he finds annoying but can relate to in the sense that they, too, are misfits and fuck-ups, is just to be VAGUELY INTIMIDATING AT because he privately finds it hilarious.
