Welcome!

It's time to introduce yourselves! Use the form below to get out there and start plotting. New and old players alike are encouraged to post to the Intro & CR.

A mingle log will be posted on June 8.
While we won't be doing intro/mingle logs every application round, we'll have one for the first two rounds (June and August) to help everyone get settled! You can also check out the Bulletin for information on weather, broadcasts, and incidents.

Notes

• Characters can arrive in-game on any date throughout the month of the TDM. This means characters do not have to, and typically will not, arrive all at once. Arrivals will be scattered and more difficult to predict. Use this to stagger CR, give characters a couple weeks without seeing each other, or whatever you feel makes it interesting!
• Since base AC is low, players need to make AC for their first month. TDM threads continued into the month are perfectly acceptable as long as the comments submitted take place in the current month.

Updates

• We've made some updates to the Invites page to reflect the game's current player cap status and added a player cap count to the Taken page. Our player cap is formally 70 players. The FAQ has also been updated to reflect these changes.
• A reminder that the 2 characters per round allocation was for the first round only. Moving forward, all players, current and new, can only apply for one character per app round. (You may still have a total of 2 characters.)

im into battle comrades seeing as they're both durable as hell. does she wanna see some funky claws come out of a guy. i can foresee this happening 1) against a common attacker or 2) some misunderstanding causes them to attack each other (briefly) before it gets cleared up lmao. either/or would be fun.

on the deeper side, they def have similar backgrounds and he'll probably take an interest in her once some of that starts coming up (if it does).

About: Young adult, grew up normal, prefers to make friends rather than enemies. She likely spends most of her time in Panorama working various customer service jobs and trying not to get robbed. She can also see ghosts (see above!).

Wanted CR:
• Normal friends to do normal friend things with
• Violent people to confuse/frighten the fuck out of her
• Age appropriate (between 20 and 30) men/women for a fling? Nothing permanent here but, you know
• Anyone who wants to be bugged about their dead ex/friend/sibling/barista!!!

Plots/Plans: Not sure yet! In the TDM, someone she had an altercation with ended up murdered later that night. That could come back in some fun, alarming way? I'm just going to throw her into things and see what sticks.

CRAUGHS they both could do this - I think they could be chill friends though, as long as Sam isn't too alarmed by his 8ft tall eldritch horror of a partner (we promise he's not evil). I saw you have Sam working as a swappie, and Jayce has spent a lot of the month familiarizing himself with cars and stuff doing little repairs for some new arrivals for free for the moment while he sorts stuff out, so, maybe something there too!

I pick this one! Maybe their first thread is finding themselves on either side of a job, if it makes sense for Logan to take on mercenary-ish work? One of them is bounty hunting someone, the other was hired to protect that someone, etc.

About:

this iteration of wanda comes from this canon point (at the end of civil war, before being rescued from the raft). this means that she isn't 'the scarlet witch' as we know it in the most current mcu timeline, hasn't had the thanos/snap trauma, and has only lost her parents and brother so far (which is still a lot tbf). what this means is that she's going to be pretty prickly, as she comes from a time where she feels without an anchor, a little 🤏 betrayed/used, and is more than ever on a mission to make it so that her powers aren't equated with who she is. still, even if she is in her ~fledgling state within the mcu, she is a powerful telepath with a lot of potential who had started to become more comfortable in the use of her telekinetic powers, and has received training from both natasha (black widow) and steve (captain america).

Wanted CR:

because she comes from a point where she 1) wasn't rescued from the raft, 2) got to live the life of a fugitive, and 3) got to go on dates with vision, i really want to explore cr with her that would make her open to growth. that being said, do be aware that wanda will inherently start her cr by lying about her powers and being just a normal girly with a personality, so i'm okay with this blowing up in whatever way down the line with her relationships. below are some ideas, but i'm happy to be presented with something that i didn't know i needed as far as cr is concerned.

found family—something like the avengers but not quite like the avengers. people who look after her and accept her despite being prickly and a little-a-lot introverted. people who don't put stock into her words (or lack of them) and instead on her actions. she feels the loss of her twin brother very close to her heart, still, so getting to have a 'big bro' cr is totally in the cards; this kind of cr will be of the very emotional kind, so brace yourself.

friends—she sure spent the last year of her life with people older than herself, and it'd be nice for wanda to get to have some fun in normal young adult ways; going out to parties, drinking, doing stupid shit (this can include minor crimes and troublemaking), and whatever other silly scenario may come up. she'd be open to a little clumsy flirting and exploring getting close to others at an otherwise intimate emotional level with no strings attached.

mentors—there's a shitton of characters here who have also been misfits or have their own issues with the powers that they were born with, or who otherwise find no problem with being different in that way. while she's keeping her cards close to her chest regarding her powers, i do want her to be forced to accept who and what she is, and learn how to use her powers better. bonus points if the mentor-type cr fits into any of the former ones mentioned.

Plots/Plans:

i haven't gotten anything super specific other than meeting people + building significant bonds with them. wanda will keep herself busy in being "normal" at first and just... observing, making an assessment of this world for herself. inevitably, down the road, i will want her to develop her powers in the same trajectory as has happened in the mcu, but with her full awareness of pushing at those limitations and doing so herself instead of being forced by trauma and loss.
