Welcome!

It's time to introduce yourselves! Use the form below to get out there and start plotting. New and old players alike are encouraged to post to the Intro & CR.

A mingle log will be posted on June 8.
While we won't be doing intro/mingle logs every application round, we'll have one for the first two rounds (June and August) to help everyone get settled! You can also check out the Bulletin for information on weather, broadcasts, and incidents.

Notes

• Characters can arrive in-game on any date throughout the month of the TDM. This means characters do not have to, and typically will not, arrive all at once. Arrivals will be scattered and more difficult to predict. Use this to stagger CR, give characters a couple weeks without seeing each other, or whatever you feel makes it interesting!
• Since base AC is low, players need to make AC for their first month. TDM threads continued into the month are perfectly acceptable as long as the comments submitted take place in the current month.

Updates

• We've made some updates to the Invites page to reflect the game's current player cap status and added a player cap count to the Taken page. Our player cap is formally 70 players. The FAQ has also been updated to reflect these changes.
• A reminder that the 2 characters per round allocation was for the first round only. Moving forward, all players, current and new, can only apply for one character per app round. (You may still have a total of 2 characters.)

i was literally just about to come to you and say the same thing, so yes! they should totally meet. jyn has done a lot of ambiguously illegal things like selling forged scandocs on the black market before reconnecting with the rebellion proper, so she and a pirate like jack are a great combo

HI yay we can finally meet! I'm Dee, I loved threading with you on the TDM if we want to keep that little meet up canon. He will try to help Connor find whatever tech things he needs to keep himself alive. He's also someone who is a baby in years experienced but aged up appropriately.

hi there, olive! i'm court and have brought an original character from a dungeons and dragons campaign, but that aside, i was really charmed by kimiko reading some of her threads! like the one with verso. i'd love to get a thread with her sometime. fern could definitely be a battle comrade, potentially. i too love fighty threads and fern is pretty fighty!

About: she is in fact based on thee infamous pirate anne bonny, so jot that down. anne is an angry, deeply feral creature who is bursting with both love and the incredible power of violence. she's outwardly aggressive and standoffish but her people are HERS once they level up in her ledgers. she found herself through piracy and is still finding new things about herself all the time, but like, she's constantly two seconds from murder and doesn't really feel bad about it. and now she's got a truck, so vehicular manslaughter is a looming possibility.

Wanted CR: so many things! people with the patience to teach her about modernity. listen she's gotta learn but she's not gonna be HAPPY about it. feel free to recognize her name as the pirate but she'll think it's bizarre, especially when it comes to the fame of the future. she and jack rackham are one of those DO NOT SEPARATE kind of duos, so you're likely to meet one if you meet the other. also, women.gif... there's a lot to explore methinks with regard to anne's relationship to her own gender and how she interacts with other women especially coming from the overwhelmingly male world of piracy, but also i personally just love lady cr give it to me.

Plots/Plans: crimes. she's a pirate! sorry, you can't expect her NOT to live up to being an embodiment of be gay do crimes. i don't really have solid plans, beyond throwing her into things and seeing what happens, maybe a little murder here or there, the emotional devastation of cosmic horrors, etc. i'm happy to continue tdm threads and am planning to tag them back - i was just afk for like a week on vacay, so sorry for slow!

Limits: anne is pretty hostile by default and it kind of lends itself to negative cr, but i would rather not overwhelmingly keep it all negative all the time. obviously she will certainly not click with everyone, but i am keener to try and develop cr more deeply than just 90% arguing for the sake of it. while not a limit for me, i do want to note that anne's backstory does contain csa/abuse, but it's ill likely to come up without build up and never without warning, and i'll be working on opt outs on the rare chance it does.
