arrival!

I'm sorry Mr. Yom Crook I'm still uncertain of what to... oh, hello.

[ Adrian glances behind Yom Crook at the man who's just emerged from one of the tents. His gaze catches on the wings behind his ears, the halo — hopeful uncertainty stirs in him. Before Barovia, seeing one of Raphael's brothers, or perhaps a fellow aasimar, would have given him some measure of solace. Now, he knows better than to assume the intentions of another creature before he knows them well. Still, some kind of familiarity is better than none, even if the only thing they truly have in common is that they're both quite lost.

Yom Crook looks between them. Before anyone can say another word, he cheerfully informs them that they look as if they may be gentlemen of similar tastes and, if that's the case, he'd be glad to give them an even more special deal, should they wish to make their purchases together. The debt would be separate, of course. He just wants to see that they have some companionship in this trying time, and get the best of the best from Yom Crook's lot.

Adrian meets the other man's gaze, brows drawn together, his smile rueful. He shrugs, ignoring the faint spark of pain from his wrist. (Yom Crook has been kind enough to provide him with a sling to prevent it from moving too much.) ]

I apologize — this is all very overwhelming already but, if you would be amenable, perhaps we can appraise the selection together..? In our current position, it seems prudent to take the best deal we can get from Mr. Yom Crook.

[ That's what Fern would do, isn't it? Surely a good deal is better than no deal. ]
