No, I haven't played a lot of games.

[ Jack skipped childhood entirely and they didn't have time to sit around and play games in the bunker. They were on a job or there were a variety of other reasons that he never got to have a little more fun with his family. There was that time with Mrs. Butters when she made sure they got to celebrate all the holidays together, but then she poisoned and tried to kill him, so that made it a little less happy.

Jack glances toward the encroaching darkness and furrows his eyebrows at his new friend. ]

You are here, you are not there.

[ He hopes that is helpful and reassuring. He's not sure why Bob would think otherwise but Jack's been through a lot of strange things, so he understands everyone has their story. ]

Let's go outside. I don't want to have to fight it. This may be its home.

[ The other hunters are less concerned about what monsters are doing in their own space, because they're used to having to kill them to protect people, but Jack figures the shadow monster didn't end up succeeding in killing them. So he can probably let it live for now, as long as it leaves the two of them alone. He is ready to fight it to protect his new friend, but they can just walk outside, which he does, gesturing for Bob to go with him.

Once they leave the building the darkness does retract and does not follow them. ]

Hello, I'm Jack. I didn't get to say that when we were trying not to die.
