g'raha tia | final fantasy xiv

G'raha is up to date with Dawntrail (7.2)! He comes by default with spoilers up to the end of Shadowbringers (5.3).
However, there will be no specific spoilers in the prompts below. Any other spoilers will be warned in tags if they come up organically.

I default to brackets but am happy to match style. I didn't post to the EMP, but feel free to poke me via DM or by discord if you know my deets (hi it's freya)

Fluxdrift 💠 Arrival & Introduction

[ Well, this is troubling. As generous as it is to be supposedly set up to succeed in such questionable circumstances, the promise of paid bills and a loan for a mount does little to ease his concerns. This "Yom Crook", generous though the offer may be, does little win his confidence and for a good while at the onset G'raha Tia wonders if he isn't the person behind all of this.

The irony of being the one to be whisked away to another world unprompted and uninvited is not lost upon him. Were the circumstances he found himself in appearing less bleak, he might find the humor in it. Not just yet.

Still, he is at a disadvantage and needs the time to assess the situation. And so...he finds himself with a wealth of possibility when it comes to mounts--erm, vehicles. Limited as his knowledge is about how cars properly drive, G'raha takes his time to walk through the options, trying to choose what seems like it would be most simple and straight forward. You can reason with an animal, not so much with technology. (Especially Allagan technology...gods.) ]

There are so many, you would thinks this is Garlemald...

[ One in particular seems to be in decent shape, though as he rounds the back he sees a rather unfortunate set of stickers on the back windshield. ]

Ah...

[ Ahem. He clears his throat.

The other person nearby hopefully hasn't seen him staring at it, his own tail flicking behind him in light irritation. ]

You wouldn't have something...with a sharp edge, would you?

Panorama 💠 Free Samples

[ The Pavilion, in all it's dark and rustic glory, is breathtaking. Mayhaps in part because it's new and he hasn't had the full opportunity to see every ilm of it, but even if he hadn't decided to come here, he can't help but feel a bit of excitement when encountering a new city, a new land. (A new world?)

He wouldn't call it particularly hospitable, but that isn't enough to deter him from doing a bit of exploring on his own. If anything, it's necessary to get his bearings and to see if there's any way he can communicate to his comrades back home what's befallen him. Y'shtola in particular might find this a new opportunity. (Doubtlessly, this would be a boon for her in some manner.)

The crowds are plentiful and G'raha Tia quickly finds himself pushed back and forth amongst the masses as they make their way to the supermarkets, maybe into other newcomers. The smell of hot food, however prepared, does not go unnoticed, and it isn't long before he manages to patiently push his way forward in the queue.

If possible? He'll take one of everything, but only if there's enough to go around.

Reaching forward to the "alien egg", his hand bumps with someone else. G'raha pauses, pulling back and nods to the other person. ]

Please, after you.

[ Even if it's the last one, he will offer it. ]

Panorama 💠 Power Outage

[ Getting a bit of sleep would have been wise, though G'raha found himself a little too wound up and curious to really lay down. Still, he had been sorting through some of the items he managed to find or barter for around the city, trying to piece together a real sense of time and place when the lights simultaneously died out.

Ah...

With a sigh, he pushes himself up and out of his chair and peeks his head out the window. From the looks of it, the entire block is at least down. Lights off in the distance indicate that the city is not wholly without power. Some sort of issue with a generator or power line? G'raha let's the blinds fall down and heads for the door, nary stepping a foot outside at the sound of a very large crash on the floor below.

He freezes, hand still holding onto the handle of his door. There are voices...hushed, a few cackling. His ears perk up higher as he listens more closely. ]

"Powers out, Davey. No one's gonna see us comin'..."

[ G'raha exhales slowly out of his nose, careful to close the door behind him as quietly as possible. People taking advantage of the situation isn't all that surprising, but...it is a little disappointing. (Please ask him about the egalitarian society he tried to establish. He has SO many thoughts on this.)

Step by step, G'raha moves towards the staircase in the hopes that he might catch this "Davey" and his companion(s) unawares when he sees another person coming out of their room. G'raha quickly holds up a finger to his lips, trying to indicate a need for silence, then points at the floor below. ]
