[ It's only when the man's hand comes up Sunday realizes the unfortunate aiming of the lights, and just as quickly reaches to flick the switch back to the 'off' position. He's absolutely going to pretend that nothing happened unless asked.

His attention instead turns to the man as he now approaches, studying his face for a moment even as his own reflects the mildest of surprise in a shift from the rather serious one it'd had before. ]


These cars specifically, or cars in general?

[ A genuine question, but - the follow up question rather answers that so Sunday shakes his head, one wingtip brushing against his shoulder. No need to answer that when he can keep right on talking. ]

The self-driving ones were a bit - [ an understatement - ] of a luxury among the cars I was familiar with. Or rather, was a passenger in considering if it wasn't the car driving itself then there was a driver handling that piece. A superfluous detail to what you've asked, though, which is that the technology existed to make such a thing possible. It seems that here the technology is... not the same.
