01. arrival
[ One moment, he's exploding (? maybe, probably), his body twisted and shaped by the perforation of spacetime ejecting him from reality and into—well, he thought it'd be into the afterlife, honestly. Ejected into nothingness, forever. Instead, he's bellyflopping face down into the ground.

...there's silence from him, and then both arms move to push himself up. The pause was somewhat due to the pain, the shock, but also maybe—maybe that was not the coolest move he's ever pulled.

Let's just ignore that, okay! Okay! There's more important things, like being approved for a car loan without having any reasonable trace of credit! He's also in his costume, but it's shredded and the mask—it's not masking anything more than a cheekbone, so he just pulls it off.

Feel free to see him eat shit OR let him save some face by continuing on: the vehicle he's receiving is... well. ]

These things must be older than museums.

[ This is just him being dramatic, don't worry about it. ]

01-2. road trip
[ Adding onto the above, if your character has not booked it outta there with the confidence of the sun, Miguel may approach them, keys clenched in his fist. The cellphone that once worked really well is being shoved into his pocket, awkwardly as it's in a multitude of pieces.

It's unfixable, for sure, but he's not about to give it up yet. ]

You. You're my map guy now.

[ It's pretty great going head first into the unknown by himself, but a whole lot of things have happened in the last hour (in the last lifetime) and some info needs finding. And he doesn't want to be the map guy.

Besides... road trips are nostalgic, if not a little painful.

( ooc: i would love to maybe do the "there's a body oh no it's a trap" prompt too, but if you're interested, maybe i will work it into a thread! ) ]

02. ignoring a blackout
[ For a grand total of twelve minutes, Miguel kept to the dark room; the darkness should have been soothing, the quiet, placating... no. He wanted to look at the city again. It's not his home, but nothing is and won't ever be in his lifetime again, so—this other place will have to do. Whatever borrowed time he has left will have to do.

He doesn't go far before he parks the car and climbs onto the hood, leaning his back against the windshield. The soft glow of the city is exactly what he needed. Small drops of rain flick over him every couple of seconds, but he's ignoring them, and... to the outsider he might be talking to himself, but unless you're really putting in the effort to be unnoticed, he's well aware of you nearby. ]

No matter where you go, they're all the same.

[ Well, there's no flying cars (that he's seen) but... it's close enough. ]

WILDCARD.
( i'm happy to come up with something new and custom if you want, especially more action-oriented stuff! you can @ me on plurk too, [plurk.com profile] grimmsnarl if you want to plot or what have you. )
