FLUXDRIFT
i ⚔️ what do you do with a confused sailor
[ one minute she's sliding across the deck of her ship, the next she's sliding across the dirt with a gash on her face and waking up in a stationary medbay. there is a moment she almost attacks the bizarre automaton, but perhaps all the confusion keeps her from immediate violence. or perhaps it's just that she only has one sword left on her person. ]

[ the only reason anne does not launch herself at the man in the strange mask when he explains the situation is that he seems like he knows things, and anne is realizing she knows fucking nothing about what's going on here. she likes to think she's grown a little more rational, however much her fingers keep twitching against the cutlass hanging at her hip. ]

[ she is given the whole shebang about debt and vehicles. she knows what a loan is and knows she won't have any choice about taking this one on, but it's hardly the first time. she wasn't born yesterday. but she was born in the 18th century, so there is one thing she certainly does not know. ]

What the fuck is this?

[ the this in question is a brown truck. she kicks the door and grimaces at it as she's left alone with it. this is a woman dressed like she stepped out of pirate weekend at the ren faire, only she stepped out of the golden age of piracy, for real. ]

[ she knocks at the window, then knocks at the metal body of the door before yanking it open by the handle. she full on crawls into the driver's seat and starts digging around inside, opening compartments recklessly and accidentally hitting the horn, making herself jump inside the vehicle and swearing colorfully. ]

ii ⚔️ wey hey run the man down
[ in theory anne knows how to steer a wheel, from all the time she's spent on boats. in theory. in reality, however - ]

[ she accidentally slams her foot into the accelerator and her truck lurches forward, colliding with the car in front of her. it's not violent damage, but there's a bit of a crunch, probably just a scrape to add to the pile of junk the cars already are. whether she hit your car or you're just a witness, she's gonna yell about it - she can only keep herself contained for so long before she needs a little release. ]

Get out of the goddamn road!

[ she's learning how to drive, but she already knows how to rage. ]

PANORAMA
iii ⚔️ she'd take that man in tow
[ she moves through the city catlike, her limbs tense and light on her feet. she tries to avoid bumping into people, but it doesn't always work, and each time she bumps into someone, anne sneers - though it's far more aggressive to men. ]

[ she gets herself a cup full of cabbage dumplings, eating with her bare hands as she tries not to stare at everything too conspicuously - but she already knows she stands out a bit. no one is dressed like her, no one seems confused by the technology and advancement of the city. ]

[ but ah, that's familiar. anne is out of place when it comes to the atmosphere, but the attitude of the locals almost reminds her of nassau. as she's waiting in line for some cheese, one of them steps in front of her. her face drops in disgust and she elbows them hard, before bodily moving herself in front of them. ]

What, you think I'm not here? Wait your fucking turn and move.

[ they shove her, and she drops her cup to shove them back, hard enough that they stumble back a few feet. ]

Fuck you. Move!

WILDCARD
iv ⚔️ to bring us sugar and tea and fun
[ hello anne is from post series, but i doubt there will be much by the way of spoilers, and the show is a decade old so. anyway i'm up for other misc shenanigans with an out of time pirate. hit me up @ [plurk.com profile] communism or pms for specifics or just throw shit at me ! ]
