[ Been a long time since he's seen a city like this. With the knowledge that he's staying here a while, that is, and like the rest of them — it ain't by choice. When Wanda drifts off, he settles his hands on the steering wheel, follows the lights, gets a little lost in thinking about where he was before all this. Right before. Things creaking and groaning and collapsing above him, and then just...this.
It's hard for him to pinpoint an emotion or feeling about it all, his general being so often is just existing. He's existed most of his life on one ship out in space or another. For a little while, he was existing back on Earth, and now he's here. So, he'll adapt.
They stop, park, she points to the motel, and he thinks — okay, yeah, that makes sense. She'll have a place to be for a while. He's not sure what he's feeling exactly, except this sense that he thinks she should get to feel okay, if she can. He thinks he wants that for her, at least. ]

[ He will, after all, be somewhere. He doesn't connect with people easily, or normally, and so he's not really sure how to end this other than walking away. It's not for lack of wanting, really, it's not knowing how, not feeling the need for community the way some do. A piece missing.
