[ while it hasn't been long enough with the team that john's noticed, he's also not oblivious to the way even his team members tense when he turns on them. how ava, bob, even bucky in his own way, tense when john's sights are set on them for whatever reason. yelena, and to his credit, alexei, are some of the only ones who do not feel the need to react even when john's at his most on. john doesn't love the idea that his team still reacts like this, but it's also not something he's really had time to change in himself, either. so he supposes he can't blame bob for it here, either, because john doesn't have it in himself to temper down the alarms going off in his head.

[ which is a relief, in some ways. john huffs out a breath, still not sure what to make of this. they haven't really dealt with another situation of bob's memory issues, his blackouts or whatever they are, but he does know bob's memory isn't great. still, that doesn't feel like it's enough- how would bob have more memories that john? why would he think he's been here for longer?
