[ Eddie glances at Arthur like he’s just spoken some form of alien language. German cars are not necessarily his forte (the only one he can recall really seeing around town is Harrington’s BMW), and chances of him ever hearing any of those terms pronounced properly are slim, but all he really needs to know is that it I a Volkswagen, and it works similarly to any other one he’s seen. ]

Gonna be honest, I’ve never seen this model before either, but uh…seems pretty standard, and it sounds like you’ve already fought half the battle.

[ He spends the next few minutes walking Arthur through the basics and filling the gaps in his vehicle knowledge—windshield wipers, lights, when and how to shift gears. It’s a quick and dirty driver’s ed course, all packed into about five minutes. It’s not everything, and the rules of the road don't factor into it at all, but it should ensure Arthur can effectively hit the road and make his way to civilization.

But his eyebrows knit together as Arthur paints a grim picture of his home. Eddie had initially assumed he came from a town in which he no one had need of a vehicle, but ā€œstripped husksā€ makes it sounds a little less idyllic and a lot more apocalyptic.

Jesus, dude. Where are you from anyway?
