It makes an unfortunate amount of sense others might be terrified by such a power. His own wielding of gifts from the Harmony was something not known to many and deliberately so. It would be less effective to let someone prepare for a meeting they were summoned to when it came to him looking for truths in their words before deciding where fate would take them next. His own powers were not something he feared, but that comes on the other side of decades of experience with something he cannot remember being without.
"Would it help to live with it if you had a chance to practice? On a smaller scale, that is, since I can't imagine this world would like it very much if they were suddenly impacted at large."
