he doesn't mean it like that sciel!!

[ 'A little chaos', is it? G'raha finds himself smiling easily at that as well. Battle can be exhilarating and is, notably, not suited for everyone. All the more reason those who can fight do so, to protect those that cannot. And there's nothing wrong with having a little fun with it when you can. ]

I do hope not to be on the sharp end of your cards, in that case.

[ Her explanation, though, hits it rather hard on the nose. G'raha's own expression softens out to a bit of wonder as he turns the card over in his hands, admiring the patterning on the back, before really studying the depiction of The Sun. When she gestures, he follows her motion back up to the stars--or, rather, the few particularly bright ones they can see through the haze of light that hangs over the city.

Hoping for something...and believing that maybe it can happen.

With a small nod, he smiles again and hands the card back to her like it is something precious. ]

You are quite astute, Miss, or mayhaps I should say your cards are? [ His tail does a happy little flick behind him. ] 'Tis true, for sometimes hope all we have left to carry us forward. [ A world lost, but a future saved because, for two-hundred years, a few still hoped. ] Hard fought hope often has to be, it is well worth the effort to protect. And...I do hope that however and for whatever reason our paths brought us here, we may find the answers we seek.

[ A pause. And a small chuckle as he shrugs, his tail swishing again. ]

...Mayhaps that sounds a little heavy-handed for a game of cards on a, ah...dubiously constructed stairwell.
