[ Two noodle men meet by the side of the road—

Eddie likes to think he does a decent job of reading people, but the man who steps out of the Oldsmobile is immediately kind of impossible to get any sort of good read on. Something about him feels odd, but not in the ā€œlocal freak with a heart of goldā€ sort of way like the people Eddie tends to surround himself with. He’s polite enough, but he doesn’t wear it totally comfortably.

It’s easy to chalk it all up to the frustration with the situation, though, and not nearly enough to dissuade Eddie from helping. Teaching a round of driver’s ed wasn’t what he planned to do with his day, but considering he’s got nothing but a broken radio and miles of road to look forward to…it’s not as if it’s a big disruption.
]

Well, considering this isn’t even in the top ten when it comes to weird shit I’ve seen this past week alone…I’m gonna say you’re off the hook.

[ Wit that, he grins and ducks into the car, gesturing for Henry to join him. He hasn’t driven a classic car like this himself, but it seems to be close enough to the more modern models he has sat behind the wheel of. No reason why he can’t teach Henry the ropes. ]

So, you got the car running, you got it moving, and you know how to stop it, so you’re kind of already halfway there. But this right here—

[ He gestures to the gear shift. ]

—is gonna be the bane of your existence. Until you get used to using it.
