It does vex him somewhat to know that he obviously felt he had something better to do than save the world, but he doesn't ask where he was. Partly because he doesn't want to hear Wade's assessment of it and also because it won't do anything useful for him now.
It does, however, please him on some level to hear that Wade is putting himself to good use.]

I'd offer you a drink but I don't have any and I don't want you to stay that long.
