Jack glances at him because he realizes that no one would have any idea what Chuck was capable of. People still think God is a good entity, and it would be a shame to ruin that concept for anyone. He doesn't know if gods exist for this stranger, but it's the polite thing to do, not to say more on the subject. "Probably not!" Chuck could do this to everyone, he has before, but the universe still exists so they might be safe.

"We don't really have a choice, do we? But maybe we can find them one day and get home." He's an optimist at heart. If he can't open a portal to return, that's the only option. "Are you going to get a car? I don't think you can get to the main city without one unless hitchhiking is possible. I could drive you on my motorcycle if you'd like." He thinks two people can fit on it.

The problem is that Jack will 100% crash it and his new friend would probably die. But he'll try to be extra careful!
