1 - getting on the road

[The quest is simple: get in your car and drive. Sunny has played a game or two like this before. The controls are finicky, and difficult to master, but steering seems easy enough. He doesn't have his license, but the shark-toothed helmet said he didn't need it. He wouldn't, of course. This all surely must be a dream, and Sunny is an expert on dreams.

[So, he gets into his new car, which doesn't look very new at all. The hood is sun-bleached, and the doors have to be tugged, sometimes pried open. His feet barely reach the pedals, despite being sixteen, almost seventeen. Looks like a stick-shift too...

[The...result of this is a pitiful attempt at driving. Never mind the fact that he looks like a child trying to drive, but he can't seem to get more than a few inches - yes, inches - without slamming on the breaks. From the driver's seat, his heart starts to race. This is only the first quest. He just has to keep trying, figure out the secret trick...

[But one might well be on the road behind him for...a while as he tries to figure it out. All the while, his anxiety rises. At one point, he sticks his head out the window, looking not unlike a prey animal, cornered in the woods. He sticks a trembling hand out next, and tries to wave off the honking behind him. Sorry! Sorry!]

2 - first job

[This place comes with an awful lot of debts to pay off, but Sunny doesn't mind. There are mini games that allow you to rack up coins (jobs that pay money). He's managed to nab a position as a cashier at a shop in the Pavilion, and it happens to be free sample day. This means the place is crowded, and the work is fast. He does his best to keep his hands moving, change added and subtracted in his head, register buttons pressed - it's not easy, and he's starting to look flustered.

[Items pass rapidly under his hands, rung up, bagged, passed back to the customer - free samples given, small talk failed - he slams a knife (a knife?) down on the counter between himself and the customer, then freezes.

[His hand curls around the knife's handle. He pulls it back and places it in his pocket. Oops. That was his.]

3 - power outage; cw: suicide, hallucinations, spiders

[It all still creeps in.

[How? Sunny remembers the impact. Once you fall asleep, you dream, so here he is, walking through one.

[Why does he have to sleep? His eyes watch a black ceiling, quilt balled up in two fists, held in front of his face.

[Something watches him. He thinks it could be a spider, or maybe a flood. His heart races in his throat. He crawls beneath the blanket, but so do the spiders. Something shrieks - Sunny flees.

[He's out the motel room door, heavy and metal, slamming back into its frame. He stumbles to his neighbor, little fist banging with all it's strength - knock-knock-knock.

[What would you like to do?]
