[ Erik has not met many people who don't know how to ride a bicycle, but it doesn't hurt to be sure. He nods at her answer, then steps closer so he can take a look at the bike. ]

That's really a matter of habit. Often people are afraid of going too fast on a bike, but because of its weight, the issue is that if you drive too slowly, it gets harder to keep your balance.

[ He looks over the bike, getting a good notion for its condition. For an old bike, it's not too terrible, at least. Granted, he only knows so much, but there are no loose parts, the discs don't seem too worn out, and there are still grooves in the tires. Better than a lot of the options he'd seen at the scrapyard. ]

Turns can be particularly tricky. Your tendency will be to slow down too much, and to fight the gravity pull, and both of those things will definitely make you fall.
