[ This is Amos basically offering him a ride. This is not out of the goodness of his heart, though. This is a purely practical offer. He doesn't want to keep standing here with this guy and his busted vehicle, he wants to keep moving. The other option is letting the guy take a breather in his car, get his bearings, and then let him drive off. But that also wastes more time. The third option is just leaving him, like he'd originally planned. If it was between Amos and his own survival, he'd shrug the guy off. But giving him a lift doesn't really affect Amos getting where he needs to go. ]
