It cared little for his feelings let alone anyone else's; all it really wanted was to consume and drag everyone else down into the void with it. Selfish, really. But somewhat unsurprising that it hadn't asked.

Then again, he isn't entirely sure that what they had seen had been the Void. Was it something else taking on the form of a thing that terrified him? Or had the Void evolved somehow, shedding its need for him and the tether to his body? Thinking about it too long would only induce panic.
