It can go very fast. Over one hundred miles per minute. I don't know what the speed limit will be in this place, but you will want to go slower if there are people around. And you should go slow when you're starting out.

( Jack was allowed to go faster because they were on an empty road and he had Dean's strict supervision. The next time he drove he was more careful even though he really didn't need to be, since all of humanity was gone except for them. He observed the others drive a long time over time so he was ready for it. He hopes his new friend will be okay, a car is dangerous, and he is so new to it.

He points to the screen.)

That says how fast we're going. And that is how much fuel is left.

(Which almost gets at the next point.)

Fuel is made of gasoline, it's a flammable liquid. I think it feeds the engine and sets a spark off so it's ... maybe like a controlled flame in there? I don't know for sure.

( Now Jack is very curious about what makes cars work and he has no Google that he can look it up on. Maybe they should ask the Scrapyard workers, they're probably experts. He stops the car and then puts it in reverse so Gustave can see him do that. Jack is not as good at that but luckily it's not that easy to bump into things. Jack does look over his shoulder though so Gustave can see what he should do to look behind him.)

You will have to buy more of it to keep driving. The more you drive and the faster you do, the more it burns off the fuel.
