[ That's actually the tricky thing about friends in general; sometimes they're not alright. And Arthur is correct; Sally is very much not alright. Damn you Uncle Jack, for your lack of foresight about this particular social happenstance! How the fuck does one handle this, exactly?

She thinks to ask what the hell he was doing in the mines but she's smart enough to know the answer already; he was trying to Get Out. The Bobbies never made it easy for someone who wasn't feeding them Blackberry to go skipping across bridges. But bloody hell-- an explosion? Is that what happened? Did her boat explode? Because-- because Robert boobytrapped it? Because Faraday fucked up the engine? By accident? On purpose?

Are they dead? Is this actually Hell? And the fates or the angels or whoever the fuck wouldn't drag a dead baby down here with them? Sally is spiraling a little. Maybe, a lot. ]

We were already out. We made it, through all that bullshit with the whole bloody city falling apart around us. And now it's... it's just me

[ And then he offers her another scrap of the civility she'd been starved off, and she can't help but correct herself. ]

Well... not exactly.

[ Turns out poisoning herself just a little is familiar enough a motion to walk through, despite the fact that she hasn't had an actual cigarette in an age. ]

Thank you [ she means to ask if he's got a light, but that last comment hits her sideways. She looks elated and heartbroken all at once. Doesn't he get it? She just told him her baby didn't make it here with her! ]

Arthur. She's... she's not here. Don't you know what that means?
