[ The irony of a monster in the building is not lost on him. The scent of blood is in the air and it's truly a struggle to keep his teeth where they belong, hidden, out of reach. He's so hungry, and he's got no idea what to do about that. It's gonna be a pain in the ass tryin' to feed, that's for sure.
The hallway’s cooler than the flooded office, but Benny’s still soaked to the damn soul, leaving a trail of water behind like a one-man plumbing disaster. The water recedes fast and he stumbles out, gripping the doorframe like it's keeping him alive.
The kid is waiting outside the door, looking real casual for someone who just bled in front of a vampire - not that he knows. He manages a tightlipped smile. ]
