[ So his new friend is like him, an alien to this universe. It's nice to come across people like that here, it makes him feel less alone. He is friendly and talkative but he also is respectful of boundaries. He's learned that over time, from dealing with people and being terrible at it before now. If Jason took his leave or indicated he wasn't interested in continuing, Jack would respect that and go quiet, although probably not go because he likes the stars.

He doesn't realize what he said and that someone might pick up on the detail until Jason repeats it and he hesitates. He has given up at this point on pretending to be fully normal because his lies are pathetic at best. And he's been talking to people enough times here to know he isn't the weirdest thing around by any means. ]

My grandfather was mad at me. I figured he was going to kill me again, but he might not have thought that was permanent enough.

[ Chuck already killed him once and he came back as a supernova bomb to take him out. So it probably would be stupid to try the same thing right away again. He was about to destroy everything so Jack would likely go with it, but from what he's heard about Chuck, the cruelty is sometimes the entire point of his behavior. Separating him from his family is cruel. ]

My only surprise is that it's not that bad of a universe to be sent to. It's strange but people just go about their life like anywhere else.
