He looks surprised. "Don't hospitals help people?" Jack has been in one once, when he was dying the first time. It was a scary experience but he'd been too sick at the time to really remember it. Just a lot of noises and people and tubes. They tried their best but they couldn't fix him. "Perhaps there is a charitable organization. I worked for a soup kitchen once, it was very rewarding." Even if his new friend there turned out to be a murderer.
"Oh, uh." Jack looks at his smoothed over healed skin and realizes there really is no way around it now. He could have not mentioned he was cut but normal humans don't immediately heal. There are many monsters and creatures in his world, perhaps even mutated people although he hasn't met one. They do have powers, many of them, so he knows anyone could be one.
"I have supernatural healing," he admits. "I wasn't supposed to admit to that, but I forgot." It's not as if he's unsafe. There are no angels to try to take him away here, nor could they. "I'm sorry if that's unnerving."
