( she really does appreciate him for what he's done to help her (though technically she could have resolved her own issues with her powers—no chance to do that, though, with him around), but he's also very... polite. in the same way he didn't want her to go through the trouble to look for her key because he could do it, he's also a little too focused on making sure there's no stairs mishap again. )
