( wanda pauses her own search of the keys once he offers, not quite sure why someone would go out of their way for a relative stranger, get his knees on the dirty floor, to go looking for something that doesn't belong to her. perhaps she hasn't seen a lot of kindness directed at her before arriving here, but with every day, with every person she meets, she finds a stranger willing to give her a hand.

I think they fell under the stairs. ( she points at a space in between two steps, hoping he notices them, too, and confirms what she's seeing. it's unfortunately difficult to reach them from the sides, as the stairs have a wall closing them up against the wall of the building. ) Can you reach?
