Jack also handed it over as if it weighed nothing. It doesn't occur to him that it's strange because he didn't know what it was in the first place. Something is different about the man in the nice suit too, he just doesn't know what. It doesn't strike him as bad, just odd. It could be because he's so dapper when no one else is. Maybe he's out of time.

"From the medics? Yes I can see why they'd be worried about your hand, it might not be easy to drive." Jack glances down at his foot, but Laszlo doesn't seem like he's concerned if it dropped on him, so it probably is fine. He seems very cam about having cut off fingers. That would bother Jack more. He must be brave.
