Usually he has his family so he doesn't need anyone else, he's led a sheltered life where he isn't supposed to get other people involved in his dangerous situation, but he's alone here. It feels that way too, the full absence of the presence of his fathers who know how to guide him and focus his power and sincerity in the right direction.

Jack at first wonders if Amos is joking about him becoming a pro, but then he goes on to explain that he's being genuine, and he smiles, a flash of sunlight, delighted. ]
