Name: Camilla Hect Canon:The Locked Tomb About: okay so think of the nerdiest kid you know. Not the one who's constantly getting lost in their own plans and scribbling notes and can turn The Discourse into a whole thing about history, but hang onto that thought for a minute. The one who Cornell Notes everything and is an obsessive perfectionist and prepares for everything, and has a sport they're really good at because their brain does not actually allow them to stop practicing things. Now make #2 the sworn protector ("one flesh, one end") for #1, who is incidentally both a necromancer (which kind of means what you think it does, and kind of doesn't) and the youngest-ever leader of his...nation-state? kinda?, and make her sport "dual wielding curved blades and being an acrobat". (And/or, "getting people to underestimate her". That's Cam!
Who sounds really OP, and yeah, but a) everyone in her circle of friends/enemies is OP in some way pretty much, 50% of them much more magically, and b) her whole Self kind of glomped onto doing anything she does with Nerd #1 (aka Palamedes) at age Tiny, including, by age 12, aforementioned Protecting His Entire Life...which can throw a lot of caveats into her choices. Especially when he ends up um, well, SPOILERS.
Luckily, she (unlike Eric) compartmentalizes like a PRO, so she may be screaming on the inside if she's on a planet without Pal, but she will find other things to keep her busy.
Plans/Ideas: Finding things to do that aren't thinking about her necromancer. Studying the Storms, Diffusion Zones, etc! Taking a LOT OF NOTES ON GLOOP. Handling weird horror pretty smoothly, given her entire canon. Fighting things and/or people. With swords, not guns. She's familiar by either of the two points I'd drag her from, but she'd prefer not to, really. Learning how to drive, or, depending on when I bring her from, having already done so and kind of enjoying doing it. The sheer amusement of her knowing little about ...a lot...of Earth stuff while probably running into quite a lot of Earth people and stuff, and also being confused by the state of technology.
Any characters you want to see in the game? Canonmates! She is one that I do always love canonmates for. But also, fighters, fellow nerds, people who get along with people who don't talk much, etc.
