About:MINOR SPOILERS FOR EXPEDITION 33 PREMISE The non-spoiler TL;DR is that every year, this entity called the Paintress writes a number on a giant monolith in the distance. When that number appears, anyone who is that age or older instantly dies. We're at 33 now, so things are pretty damn dire.
Sciel is a farmer turned school teacher, now an expeditioner on a mission to stop the horrible creature that continues to threaten their world. She's easygoing, loves fighting, wields a scythe (that didn't come with her), and she's got some minor astromancy going on. She has a pack of cards (which may or may not be tarot cards) that she uses to buff her party and herself, and she likes doing big damage. Despite being the peacekeeper of her party and the emotional rock, Sciel harbors a great deal of grief in her life, and it keeps her going. She has a pragmatic view of the world but veers others towards hopefulness. She's also exceedingly perceptive about people and things (kind of like a hunter) and just has a great deal of empathy for the people around her. Aaaand she's pretty silly sometimes too. c:
Wanted CR: Obligatory "friends, allies, etc." for everything. Sciel likes people! She likes hanging out with people and helping them. If you wanted a supportive friend, that's her!
CR Options: More hopeful people to help her stay the course, other perceptive types. Magical colleagues (bonus for other astromancers or similar star/celestial bodies-lovers)! Big fighter types or want to trade blows for funsies.
Sciel is easy to get CR with but it's likely going to be a bit more "shallow" on her end, as she doesn't open up so easily about herself; however, she gives her whole heart towards other people and their struggles, and will easily offer anything she can to others.
Plots/Plans: Sciel will be uniting/reuniting with her crew and will be running interference in their shenanigans. But overall, she wants to see this world and figure it out, help the people in the city and whatnot. While she's driven to go back home (bc of the whole...ticking clock thing and the number on the monolith), she also wants to experience what this world has to offer. And she got a cool car! She does want to figure out food sources as the place looks pretty bad, and as a farmer she's interested in the agriculture here. (Are there monsters? Can she go fight monsters for people??)
Otherwise, we're just vibing.
Limits: Nothing really, though I will be avoiding outright spoilers everywhere and anywhere for at least another month in case people want. When there are spoilers, they'll be marked.
